were your dates in TYD consistent throughout your build? Or you had delays, etc? My targa is supposed to finish production in the next 4 days and I don’t know what to expect.
Dates have been quite well aligned thus far. +/-2 days more or less.
They need a day or two to install the Numeric shifter, pedals, side markers and SmartTOP.
Gorgeous! Congratulations!
What is a “numeric shifter”?
Why do they need to install pedals?
What is a”SmartTOP”?
EDIT: I googled “numeric shifter” and “SmartTOP”. Both seem to be non-Porsche aftermarket parts. How did you get your Porsche dealer to do these for you? Are they including this on your deal or charging extra?
What is the name of this color? I can't tell if it's Porsche racing green metallic or something else. Smyrna green?!? Oh so how did you get the pictures? As far as I know all the Targas have no PTS on the builder right now.
Porsche Racing Green Metallic. Got the renderings and manufacturing pics (see my post a few days ago) off my.porsche.com. Once you have a commission number, you can track progress of your vehicle through that site.
PTS could only be loaded for the Targa in my dealership’s configurator at the time I put my order in (January). The build, including the PTS color chosen from the subset available, was accepted a few days later by Porsche once they confirmed the car could be manufactured sufficiently before my European Delivery pickup timeframe. When I signed and paid for the car a few weeks ago, the sales manager said that PTS is not available at all for new Targa builds at this time.
Thank you @NussbaumAutohaus@CJDCREW@Jrezaf for your kind words. I agree that the greens, particularly this rarely seen darker shade in metallic, is very sharp on the Targa. It contrasts well with the silver Targa bar and wheels. Will share pictures of the actual car in a few days once we’re on our ED trip.

Did you find out what ship you are on?? So strange- so far it looks like I'm the only one on the Siem Aristotle. I guess my car has a lot of room on the cruise ;-)
I'm on the Siem Aristotle as well! Almost twins on there...Agate Grey Carrera S 7MT. Wasn't originally schedule for manufacturing to be complete until April 29th but everything moved up by about a week, went into production April 18th finished on the 23rd and was on its way April 29th!
Just received word my Carrera S coupe made it on truck and now in route to ATL dealer....will have PPF installed and hopefully pick up Friday or Saturday and drive home. It was scheduled for 4/29 delivery to dealer....production, shipping etc all ahead of time...
@FC356 have you received your car yet? What were your final specs?

I finally have some good news to report!
Been waiting to get some movement on my 992 Carrera T and today I just got the notification from Porsche that my car has started production and it's 3 days early!
Ok so maybe not a big deal but I think it's good news to report that the factory is ahead of schedule at least on my particular spec which is below if anyone is curious...
Curiously they did not adjust the estimated or scheduled completion date which right now says May 16th.
Anyone know like normally how long it takes once production starts? 10 days +/-?
Yes, the factory appears to be humming right now. It took 4 days for my manufacturing to be "complete", I didn't have any special trim options on the car which would slow things down. All in all, I am running 3-4 days early from the initial projection in the app.

Awesome!
Do they work on the weekends? haha maybe I ask too much
I don't think I have any special trim options either other than red stitching on the seats and aerokit...
When is your due date? Or delivery date I should say? Did you get the pictures as well? I'll scan the posts in case I missed it.

Thanks. Looking forward to picking it up next week as I pre-traded my '22 C4S cab in December.
This is my 6th Porsche with a SmartTOP; all installed by the respective delivering dealers. It basically returns the settings to ROW standards (one touch up/down plus a few others like opening/closing top with the remote). Big fan. I had one malfunction and it was a PIA to get it back out but the customer service was stellar - they turned it around in one day. About the length of time it took me to get it reinstalled at home...
Dealers have installed Numeric shifters in 3 of my cars. I did the pedals myself on other cars but made it part of the deal this time as getting the brake and clutch pedal screws in from behind can be (was) annoying.
The shifter is a marked improvement over OEM IMO. The pedals are just "nicer" than OEM and make it easier to heel/toe, which I was never very good at.
Awesome!

Zuffenhausen production only runs Monday through Friday. Production is idle on Saturdays and Sundays.
