Well crap. My build was to complete last Monday, got the final photo, and now it's delayed! Why? Must have failed QC, so they take a month to rectify the situation?

TYD had said Complete April 8th for the last several weeks, and just when I logged in expecting to see on its way - I got this. Major bummed.

i had the same thing happen then dates reverted back. I’d take TYD dates with a grain of salt. Give it a few days to see if the dates stick.

So ED customers get an email specifically naming a ship? I’m not ED and didn’t get an email with the ship name (had to look up the IMO#)… just trying to understand the differences as I may be interested in ED in the future.

I did ED on 1/18 in Stuttgart. The TYD app considers the car delivered as of that day and hasn't had any updates since. I wrote request to my SA and subsequently to PNA customer service about an ETA. After 2 weeks or so, I heard back from PNA that my car is on the Siem Cicero headed toward Freeport. I did not receive any automated emails after the ED date.

For Bay Area folks, looks like the G Companion just landed in Benecia.

Just curious if anyone has experienced any nasty surprises or delays in the production schedule from updating the build sheet 2 weeks (or more) before the freeze date?

mine was changed few days before freeze and it went into production few days early.

My build was pretty standard, no crazy interior

Default 992 Carrera T Build

Good afternoon, everybody! I am a first-time (Future) Porsche owner. I am awaiting delivery of my 2024 992 Carrera T. Here is my build. I would love your feedback: 50/50 on RAS and 50/50 on Chalk. I tried to keep options pretty lean, just the simple comforts. I am 99% sure this is my first 911, not my last. But I'm looking forward to driving this when it gets here—just in time for my birthday (August).

Looks like a nice build. I have a few suggestions that you might want to consider.

1) The Carrera T is basically a sport version of the base Carrera. I think it might be worth considering the manual transmission, and either no sunroof or the body color sliding sunroof.
2) I think the RAS is a nice option.
3) I've never understood the heated steering wheel option, but I don't live in a really cold climate.
4) The folding mirrors don't seem to reduce how far the mirrors stick out much, so I'm not sure it's worth it.
5) Chalk is very nice, but it's been over used I think... not what it was 5 years ago in terms of cool factor.
6) If you go with White or Chalk you might consider the wheels painted in gloss black.

Anyway, just some things to think about...

I have a few 992's coming, is it standard practice for them to send production pictures as when I bought my Taycan i dont recall any production pics available.

Id love to see mine once finished

Disappointing customer experience, especially since you paid extra and went out of your way for European Delivery. They really should build end-to-end tracking into TYD that includes the post European Delivery process.

My Carrera should start manufacture on Monday, I’m old and probably won’t be getting another 911, so I optioned it up the wazzoo.
