Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
It’s almost comical at this point. I know little to nothing about marine logistics but it’s so odd how Amethyst Ace was clipping along at 12 kn straight to Freeport when it suddenly stopped. The past two days it’s actually been going the opposite direction at a turtle’s pace
The only logical guess I can make is that VW’s posted ETA for the ship is 4/17 so they’re burning time/fuel until they’re closer to that date before approaching the port. But you’d think they’d circle around off the coast of Freeport vs where they are now…

My dealer confirmed the delay to my car. My original completion date was 4-11. I received an email last week stating that my car was built and two pictures- body shop and assembly line. TYD hasn't been updated since 3-28 but my end of production date now says 5-7. My dealer sent me dates this morning that says that the vehicle will end production on 5-10. Looks like my car is stuck somewhere between exit of body shop and entry to assembly but I did receive one picture of my car going through the assembly line. No sports package or executive/custom interior options. Weird. Anyone else getting delayed?

Just got the email from TYD stating my Porsche just left the German port on 4/15/2024. But according to the vessel schedule posted about a week ago, this doesn't line up with any of the vessels on that schedule. Copied the IMO number from an inspection of the web browser to a marine traffic locator and the vessel name is Lake Wanaka (IMO 9432892), and it shows to be moored at Emden.
Can anyone confirm this vessel may be in the rotation as well as the others listed? Anyone have the same IMO number?

They could get there in a matter of hours. The Siem Cicero just went from Freeport to Vera Cruz Mexico and it took them about 12 hours to get there. The thing that really bugs me is that the Siem Cicero arrived in Emden the day that the Amethyst Ace was leaving port. The Amethyst Ace was scheduled to arrive in Freeport on April 7th and the Siem Cicero was scheduled to arrive in Freeport on April 9th. Then for some reason, I guess because of the bridge accident in Baltimore, the Ace was scheduled to go to Tuxpan, Mexico, before Freeport. So the Siem Cicero went to Freeport about a week ago, arrived at port and unloaded its Porsches. That means if all the Ace people had been loaded on the Siem Cicero, their cars would already be at the dealerships. Instead the Ace is left floating waiting for the 17th port call in Freeport.

Looks like my GTS is on the same vessel. Left the Emden port yesterday.
