I love the look, but wanted ventilated seats more.

Looks aside, I want them for the functional attributes they provide.

I experienced this exact reaction from an SA as well. When I mentioned that I was considering getting Sport-Tex he goes, "Oh god no, please get the leather instead." But I'm seriously considering it.

The next SA I dealt with didn't express any concerns but mentioned that it would be difficult to see in person since very few vehicles are equipped with it.

What is it about Sport-Tex that is so disliked? In terms of pros & cons, I see far more pros compared to leather.

Mine thinks it’s rubbery and uncomfortable. Everyone who has it seems to love it. It’s weird. Anyway, I am going to try it. I’ve had lots of leather, but never Sport Tex. Time to give it a go.

You’re going to enjoy them... if they’re calling out to you get them, you’ll love them when you get the car.

I went from a 991.2 with 18-way, leather, heated/ventilated seats to a 992 w 4-way sports+ with sport tex and I’m enjoying these more.

The material is NOT rubbery, and going from ventilated seats with thinner padding to these feels very, very plush. I think it’s possible that the harder 18-ways might have been more comfortable for say 4-hour drives, but on shorter trips the plusher seats I have now are more comfortable.

Also importantly, they just kind of have a retro/Porsche-exclusive look, with the chalk stitching too, they just have a lot going on in terms of visual interest.

Obviously very subjective, and I feel like all these interiors/seats are solid/excellent choices. Hard to go wrong, so just go with what called out to you.

Well, looks like my car has been built. Checked the Track Your Dream site last night and it had just been done. Now it waits for transport to the port in Emden. Will make that trip on May 22. Very exciting!

Seems to me like they've got their systems working fine now, updates are happening regularly and quickly.

Originally my car was due to be built in March but of course the line was stopped and it sat at 'scheduled for production' for some time with everything after reflecting the original schedule including ED in June. I cancelled ED and when the factory restarted after a couple of days the dates caught up, reflecting US delivery but they've moved around a couple of times since. Right now the car is at the port I guess waiting to be scheduled on a ship, it says June 12th for loading.

^^ nice!

Sport + Premium I'm guessing will be a heavily ordered combo with the new changes.

Just sent an email to my SA starting the order process. Due to our impending move to California this winter, I not taking delivery until next February/March. It's gonna be a helluva long wait.

I love the look of Sport-Tex. The only issue is you can't order the premium package, since it includes ventilated seats. I had to a la carte the remaining premium package items. Here are our first and second red Targas. 1982 Fiat X1/9 and 1987 911 We bought them both new and wish we still had them.
