Targa GTS. Here are a few pics. Note: in most of them, the front axle lift was engaged. The front wheel well gap on this cars is too big, but not as big as when the FAL is activated.
The Wheels are Forgeline VX1R in Transparent Smoke.
Also, thanks to Tyler and the team at @Pacific German in Laguna Hills, CA for specing and installing these wheels. I am very happy with the result.
Rear (slight poke) Front (flush)

I really don't understand offsets and wheels. I guess it depends on the wheel? Yours rear offset is about 16mm off from @tourenwagen and it llooks about the same. So confused. Someone help me out here and explain it to me pls.

I think you are mistaken on tourenwagen's use of spacers.... he'll need to clear the confusion - but I'm not sure from what post you would have gathered that.
I have a GTS incoming. Has the turbo s centre locks Lowered factory SPASM.
Looking to swap out the wheels to something with a better fitment/lower ET.
Not looking to drop the car any lower at this stage. What do you suggest in terms of widths and fitment. I was thinking:
front 20x 9 et 46
rear 21x 12 et 64.
Open to suggestions. Hoping for flush to arches but a little retracted so can still push the car hard on bumpy roads etc.
Thanks.
With those widths and offsets, your rears should look pretty similar to my Chalk Targa GTS above (a couple of mm poke), but the fronts will have about 5mm of poke.
I don't believe those offsets. That would be pushing the front and rears outboard by over an inch from stock.

Agreed. Based on my wheel specs and the photos above, something is not right with that ET27 front and ET41 rear.
Where OliverK8 said: "Drop was just under an inch in front. 14mm spacers in rear; 7mm front." - which was on OEM wheels
And then tourenwagen responded with: "Looks great. I'm on the same set up"
tourenwagen was likely referring to just the HAS drop.

Sorry I have way too much time on my hands this evening :P

If you plan on lowering, the rear wont have anymore poke.

Yes, I am thinking that I will. With the current setup, there are 2.5 fingers of space up front, and 2 in the back. Now, I have pretty thin fingers, but that is still too much of a gap for me. I think I need to drop maybe 15mm front and 10mm rear?

I asked him via PM. He bought the wheels
20x9 et 45
21x11.5 et 58
Then added 18mm spacer in the front which comes to (et27)and 14mm spacer in the rear... (et41)
Running oem size tires.
EDIT. My math was off on the rear. Should be et44.

Lowering a car causes the rims/tires to camber or tilt in up top which makes the rims/tires look more tucked in on a lowered car than a non-lowered car. I am running 12mm spacers in the rear on my lowered 992 and I can pretty easily run 15mm spacers and rims/tires would still look pretty flush. My stock rear rims are 21x11.5 +67 offset. Adding 12mm spacers puts me at 21x11.5 +55 offset (67 - 12) or 2mm pushed out further than socalsharky's Forgelines. If he lowered his car, I'd add 5mm spacers all around to have the same flush appearance as unlowered.
