i put a zip tie on my 997 gt3 to keep valve open all the time because i thought the switch at 4000 rpm sounded fake. i liked the valve open but it did drone at 65 mph on highway which was annoying. regardless, i imagine this type controller in open position will sound exactly same as it does when the factory ecu opens them. just same thing at all times. hope it doesnt drrone tho

This is such an easy "plug and play" mod to do and it's really rewarding.
The "wail" that comes on around 3,700 RPM is definitely special. I cant imagine my Touring without this mod.
That's how good this mod is!

For those that have this for the GT3 with the three button remote — is there a manual somewhere? I can’t seem to find it, and it’s not clear what the third button on the remote does. I’m basically just trying to understand how this thing works on startup, and whether that button is the “just do what the oem does” for the valve control. Thanks for any tips!

I just ordered one mid Sept for my 992 GT3 from Vivid with shipping to California. It drop ships from Germany. Vivid's website does not reflect the actual shipping price. The cheapest shipping quote for me was $15.00 which I chose. They sent me an email the next day telling me I have to pay another $86.00! I told them to fix their website. Of course they haven't. But came from Germany pretty fast.

Vivid turned out to be a waste of time and money. I ordered from them too and they slapped me with an extra $125. My wife answered the phone and paid for it. Had I known I would have cancelled the order and just gone w/ Flat6. At least I would have gotten a mounting bracket out of it.

TLDR: Dont buy from Vivid.

It was indeed a hassle tracking my refund/credit back to my credit card with Vivid.
They weren't very expedient.

PS. I have a Flat6 bracket for anyone who wants one. I wound up fabricating my own from the hardware store.

Jon at FLAT6 is great fast shipping, great communication, that is the key. I don’t care if it is delayed or not in stock or backordered. Just say so. It is best bang for the buck mod we can do to our cars. I had FLAT6 do OAP and controllers on wife’s 718 GTS 4.0 that was significant improvement.
