Default Cargraphic Valve Control Unit (992 GT3 Variant)

Get full control of your Porsche 992 GT3 / GT3 RS 4,0l

So I am thinking about getting this and just leaving the stock exhaust for now. Anyone else get it for their GT3 yet? Install seems simple enough. Any input would be appreciated. Can also hook up to the HomeLink on the PCM. This makes the valves open @ 100% the whole RPM range and not just 20% from 1,000-4,000RPM basically a better/deeper sound.

Long Rennlist Thread here. But don't see many GT3 / GT3 RS have done it yet. 992 CarGraphic Valve Controller

I wonder how effective this is without removing the OPF…

Friend of mine just got it. Said he has not installed yet on his GT3, but a buddy of his has the OEM exhaust with OPF on his GT3 and said this Valve Controller is a game changer. Pretty strong words haha but his buddy said low RPM range it sounds so much better.

I just received mine. Plan to install tomorrow. Also planning on removing the OPF. I’ll keep the thread updated.

It should help as the valves can always be left open but won't change the tone of exhaust. Only OPF removal and /or aftermarket exhaust will change the sound, so I'm planning controller + R1 exhaust.

If you can also share where you mount the unit on the GT3, that'd be great.

Will do. I’ll be following the instructions from flat 6 motorsports. They have a great install video and 3D printed mount they include w the purchase of the valve controller. It’s it but more involved for the GT3 but the same mounting point.

Just spoke with R1 and they said their exhaust comes with valve controller so aftermarket controller isn't needed.

I have one of these and like it. It feels like it is as much louder as it is going from valves closed to sport exhaust on.. but from sport exhaust to valves open via the controller - about the same difference louder. I have pdk and love the sound on downshifting. The cargraphic makes the sound louder/better below the 4000 or 5000 range wherever the valves are fully open.

This is on a touring. Mounted mine right next to the engine control unit. Fans pop right out. I was a little ocd when it came to running the wires and zip tying. Other than that, easy peasy.

JBravo - is your just stuffed in there or is it secured in there somehow? I have mine located very close to that and just zip-tied on top of a bunch of other wires in the general area. I like the way yours looks and may pop out my fan and do something similar.

I lifted the rear on jack stands and removed the fans and the bottom skid plate and it was fairly easy for someone with moderate skills to figure out.

I have this controller for almost 1 year, I leave the valves always open. The car sounds really nice, 100% worth it, no more sewer machine sound below 4k rpm.

It’s a 100% must do mod.

I’m sold!

For install found Fabspeeds wing delete video to show you how to take everything apart up top/deck lid. Def does not look that hard. Just have to be patient with the install. Wonder if you can just place the module in the other side? 1:45 in the video and just place it there(zip tie)? That way you really don't have to take anything apart. Just have to fish the wires down to the valves. Idk. Just throwing out some ideas.
