I was offered a CXX on mine but it would delay it 4 months. That’s after it was already kicked from ‘23 to ‘24. As I plan to drive mine and I’m not that pushed on option strutting, I went for it without the CXX and have an Oct delivery.

I’m curious what power dealers think, but with all the delays, shortages, and other issues the 992.1 line won’t stay open forever. Maybe they do a MY25 but failing that there’s no way they can hit their production targets given the meager number of cars made during MY23. I’m more worried about missing out completely and then getting borked in some new VIP program requirements as the RS is my first Porsche.

Just received this text today……I texted back that there are more attractive cars to me at that price, but thx for thinking of me.

Hi Todd, we are getting this two incoming 911s.
911 GT3 RS and a 911 GT3 (see below specs).

GT3 RS price will be $ 225k over MSRP
GT3 price will be $ 75k over MSRP.

The LMK part made me lol. Honestly though, we won't know what the true value of these are until they hit the US used market. I'm guessing $150k over

Higher. The Euro market for even a GT4RS is over 350k-400k US and there are significantly more GT3RS cars over there that are pulling over 500k USD.

Seemingly enough even the biggest dealers are only getting handfuls of spots it'd be interesting to see what has a higher production run #s for a non numbered car.... the Gen 5 Viper ACR or 992 3RS lol.
Ummm, PCNA dished out way more than 100 MY23 GT3RSs US allocations. There will be more 992.1 GT3RSs built than 991.2 GT3RSs when the dust settles.

Those are lofty asking prices. Unless it's a PTS Manual Touring with a good spec, no new or used GT3s are trading at $75k over MSRP. I got a text from a broker a few weeks back offering me an GT3RS allocation at $100k over and of course I passed.

First US cars will probably trade around $150k over and that will fall as more and more GT3RSs come onto the market.

I hope they do — I have friends who want an RS and can’t get an allocation. So more cars would be great.

But I don’t think you’ve answered this question: if the original production plan was two years and delays / stoppages mean they only fulfilled 25% of the run in MY23, will they do a partial MY25 to hit their targets? I’m skeptical given need to switch over to 992.2.

Yes but that's all during the 992.1 run. Does anyone have an example where two generations of 911 cars overlap on the production line? If the 992.2 base car goes into production on schedule -- and that's a big 'if' -- then how do they keep making 992.1 GT cars?

I would be very surprised if there wasn't a MY25 GT3RS along with another price bump.

So you expect them to make 992.1 MY25 GT3RS cars while simultaneously making 992.2 MY25 GT3 cars?

and they would delay 992.2 for a year? Their volume of 911 cars is something like 38k per year. I don’t think that makes sense. The GT cars are built on the same line as the other models, right? -hyp
