Higher education isn't just for making money. And back in my day, higher education wasn't expensive. And for some professions - doctors, engineers, scientists, etc. - you need higher education.

I never thought much about all that.
mom made me go to school so I did.
maybe it did me good maybe it didnt.
I have good friends from "higher" education (whatever that is) as well as friends who did not go..
one group isn't better than the other.
each good at different things
hell, I likely have more diplomas than most but I still can't spell and I finally realized that my kids are streaming tV for me b/c apparently there are no longer CABLE TV.. per se.

Again, it’s not all about money. Lots of people are in careers because they love the work, even though the income is modest. Take some online college classes and you’ll see the value of higher education.
I dont think that I've ever seen people more WRONG about the stock market (collapsing) ADM's (disappearing) and the Economy (recession).
Cant see how any of these people actually have capital at risk in the markets or are on the "first" team for anything.
Technically, we had a recession in 2022, just because our clown President wants to change the definition doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
It doesnt sound like you fully understand what impacted Q1-2022 GDP, given the massive spike in exports the previous quarter in Q4-2021 which helped GDP surge at a 6.9% annual rate.
The "hangover" of the previous quarter's surge in exports shaved a whopping 3.2% off ot the GDP number for Q1-2022, which had declined at a 1.4% annual rate.
Take half that impact out, and the quarter is flat.
Moreover, recessions dont happen with the unemployment rate between 3.6 - 3.8%
At least the one's felt by Main Street.

So what if people are wrong? They're called "predictions" because they may not be right. No one here is acting as your personal financial advisor.
And you know, being bearish doesn't necessarily mean shorting the market or being entirely in cash, could simply mean reducing equity exposure. If you work in finance/investing, that should be obvious to you.
Not a cool story, it's my reality and I'm very fortunate for all the sacrifices that my parents made and the stressing education. I would give them everything that I own if I had to because I wouldn't be the position that I am today without them.
