I know the feeling. All the cool kids live on the coasts and have to compete with so many buyers. I guess the universe throws you bone from time to time. My dealer also mentioned to me this will be their only 3RS in 23. They are very small however so I'm not too surprised
Congrats to you also!
My dealer is also one of the smaller ones. I'm up in the PNW so at least away from the frenzy in CA, which probably helps.

I'm actively living in Kirkland WA at the moment and didn't waste my time with dealers here. I didn't expect anyone to even give me the time of day. I'm making the purchase through a small Midwest dealer
I got the call for an allocation Wednesday day this week. Order confirmed, shows up in the My Porsche app. Reportedly an April build. I'm told this is the only allocation that this dealership got; in this round anyway. MSRP dealership. I'm not a 918 VIP or anything but I have bought several cars from this dealer and they do all the regular service work on my cars. I'm still pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming
edit: more specific timeline: according to the "track your dream" web site that Porsche sent me a link to in email just now, the build is scheduled to begin April 7th and scheduled to be out the factory door to Emden on April 14th.

The dealers in the Seattle area are the worst. I'm buying mine in another state, just like the last several times.

I mind the adm but I don't blame dealers for doing it. It is what it is. But it was the attitude and rudeness I've experienced at Porsche Bellevue that put me off. Just sales though. Service was lovely.

Agreed - service has always been top notch. Sales are simply awful - rude, dismissive, and entitled.
The Bad: October build. I do ED on all my cars, so this time it’s not going to happen.
I've never done a winter ED but I know they supply winter tires as an option. Now are their winters that fit this car.....probably not but maybe they would just give you another 911 loaner. Chedi Andermatt is lovely in winter buddy!

not worth the headaches. Porsche requires 4 weeks from completion before allowing pickup. Tracks and mountain passes closed, so will just get it here for spring. Only possibility is that if my build is in PTS window and someone wants to swap an earlier build date for mine. I don’t want PTS. Dealer working on it.

This seems a bit odd to me. It implies that PCNA gave dealers build slots for the entire year. Do you actually have a commission number or is this a promise from the dealer?

FWIW, I did ED last November for my GT3.
The bad, you’re right that the mountain passes are closed.
The good - I was able to do two track days at Spa Francorchamps and one at Dijon. And there were LOTS of other track days available.
I was able to do some laps at Nurburgring as well.
There were also some amazing roads in the Moselle Region. And of course those are all connected by autobahns.
While not as good as June, for me it was definitely better than not going at all.
The law in Germany requires winter rated tires after November 1st so I did all the above driving on Porsche’s winter tires. That did NOT ruin the fun! I know the RS tires are 20 mm wider than the GT3 tires, not sure if there are winter rated options available.
Now (selfishly) for the _really_ bad, despite staring hard at my phone the last few days willing it to ring, my dealer did NOT call to say I will get one of those precious GT3 RS allocations. Can’t… hold… my… breath… much… longer
Gm called and offered me a car. Asked for “only 130k” since I’ve bought plenty of cars, others were being charged more. He’s had my build @290k. Almost like he’s doing me a favor.
Told GM to never call me again, and to no expect the 1m+ of cars me and friends/family have been buying annually. This is not how you treat some of your customers who have been loyal and continuous with you. His tone quickly changed and said I’m sorry I didn’t mean to offend you however we’re in a downturn and we need to maximize profits blah blah blah. I said ok great go ahead and do what you need too, have a nice day.
He called me couple hours later and apologized again and offered a 5 digit ADM and tried to still convince me he’s doing me a favor. I like to think that once this market turns or slows down some of these dealers will realize the amazing customers they lost. I like to think I’m just one person who is trying to fix this ADM game. No matter how wealthy you are in life paying 415k or 130k adm for a depreciating asset is tough to swallow for me. I have no issue building a relationship with a new porsche center, and if that doesn’t work im totally ok not driving another porsche again.
For those of you who have amazing dealers that are not trying to take you to the cleaners, congrats on the car and enjoy it!

You are one of many experiencing this as we speak I'd wager...
Tbh I'm not sure what's worse, not getting the call at all from your dealer or getting the call/opportunity but with the fat ADM attached
