GT3RS Allocation Thread

However….
I know that when dealers were communicated these MY2025 RS allocations in November 2023, there were several assumptions that are no longer the case. There are substantial delays from suppliers and Porsche’s forecasted RS production vs reality dont align. So the MY24 allocations being pushed to MY25 is part of the problem. The other part is they cant build as many cars as they once thought they would. Its absolutely the case the number of brand new MY25 allocations (excluding MY24 reallocations) will be much lower than what the dealers were told in November 2023.

I personally haven't been offered or heard of a 2025 allocation yet but who knows.

aren’t there already most of the 2024 allocations filling the first half of the year as 2025 MY that got pushed back. Will there actually be more allocations for MY 25. Or just finishing up what got pushed back from 24. As I thought there were quite a lot of builds that pushed back to 25.

I regularly visit the Porsche website to track GT3RS and to my surprise there many for sale including some that are obvious flips. They have been offered for some time and looks like very few takers. I see dealers starting to reduce their original advertised prices now as well. Let’s see how this plays out but in my option the days of people buying these up with significant ADMs are over based on the number I still see for sale.

People are just realizing these cars shouldn’t command a 130-200k premium on top of MSRP. Maybe 75-100k during launch and by the end of the sales cycle 25-50k over. Half a million dollars is a lot of money, especially for a track car. Could buy the most expensive Radical which will run circles around the GT3 RS and still have enough money left over for a Lamborghini, McLaren, or Ferrari. Heck you could get a real Cup car and have enough money left over to rebuild the car 1-2 times.

This is a funny and narrow argument. The whole point of the GT3 RS is a street car that dominates the track and it does so much better than any of the cars mentioned above.
You don’t need a trailer, it will not break down and the technology is beyond any of the above mentioned cars without getting into Sena and Straddale money.
It’s the best Jack of all trades and even with a $150k ADM punches above its weight. Im not defending it as a fan boy, I’m defending it as I’ve owned cup cars, radicals and others you mentioned and I can’t think of or find another car that does as much as the 992 RS. If you own one and drive it, you realize what a truly special machine it is.
