Many many makes have experienced PHEV growing pains. That's why I never stick my neck out for a first or even a second year production. By the time fresh 296 and SF90 orders get built and delivered they will be at least three years post introduction. Wait till Porsche joins the party with their 911 hybrid. Wishing them the best! Hopefully they won't suffer as much as Merc.

Yup and that's why when GT cars go all turbo and/or PHEV I'm done.

Out of curiosity, why won't you entertain "no tax states" - don't understand why that is relevant to a seller . . .

My dealer confirmed my delivery was moved up. Still find that very odd that this would happen.

No allocation? Me either. Do what I did, go to your local Chevy dealership. I put in an order with a dealer I have no history with. Tell the sales guy are you are an actual track guy, not some show and shine like 99% of their customers. Got a Z07 allocation, took delivery within 3 months.
Don't sleep on this car guys. It is a monster. Fit and finish is WAY better than previous generations. For $160K loaded with virtually every option except CF wheels, it feels like a deal. Exposed carbon everywhere, inside and out. Basically a "Weissach" version vette. Very exotic feeling. Motor and sound is amazing. Long term, the Z07 will also hold its value nicely as well because of the motor. Def. a good addition to the stable. Is it a Porsche, of course not, but variety is the spice of life. If they make a 992.2 RS, I'm still going to try to get one, but I expect things to be only worse by then, but I'm still on my dealer list for it.

Since Porsche canned the GT4/Cayman platform, there are literally tons of people switching to the C8 platform for a reason. You can put a set of MCS shocks on a C8 Z51 base car and lap faster than a GT4, and do it for alot less money. It's not about the cheaper cost, but it never hurts. And there are certainly those out there where the cost is part of the equation. The hysteria around the Porsche GT cars is at an all time, annoyingly high, and the costs are reaching supercar prices, so no wonder people are looking at Mclaren and Ferrari now. I chose to go the other way, because I am just an NA motor guy. I don't regret this one bit. Now time to put some miles on it so I can get it to the track.

Fit and finish is not comparable to any porsche, I mean even a macan forget 911 GT3RS. I had a C8 Z06 with Z07 order that actually arrived and I refused delivery. It had almost a dozen fit and finish issues including delamination of carbon fiber pieces (including roof), a tear on the dash by passenger airbag, and horrendously not straight stitching everywhere. You get what you pay for. I could have gotten this car for msrp in its state and flipped it for profit but it annoyed me so much that I said **** it, I cant deal with the car, the dealer, and your typical corvette buyer who would be buying the car. I left the car like that and said never again.

The interior is great, and the Competition bucket seats are comfy and very supportive. Adjustable lumbar support, etc. etc. Just adding a Competition Motorsport harness bar and Schroth GT3 4pt harness/belts, and will be all you need for track use.
