This assumption may not hold true. They are still unsure the impact of the new EU safety rules. Did you know Mclaren in the 11th hour decided that they can't make the new 750S comply with these rules and as such 750S will not be produced for EU market in 2025 and 2026 model years? This just sort of happened and was communicated. North America will get 750S for those 2 model years though. Not saying thats what will happen with GT3RS but simply pointing out these types of rules and logistical issues aren't always perfectly resolved and some stuff do not go according to the plan. If Porsche does decide to build a GT3RS for MY25 in 992.1 chassis and they do decide to sell this car in EU market, they will have to build a brand new bumper and electronics for these new safety systems and they'll have to keep a separate set of US parts and software. It sounds simple but its not really that simple.

Interesting, I was not aware of the behind the scene hurdles, my answer was just me sharing what was shared with me, that there is an embargo on 2025 allocation and said embargo will be lifted in June, the "why?" is beyond me. Maybe that is why the german website has the GT3RS as out of stock? Seems to support your information.

I argue that price points drive engineering decisions and process more than cultural differences. An engineer is an engineer, regardless of language spoken or country of residence. The vast majority of F1 engineering squads are British. Electronics..... Japan. Petroleum.... Middle East.

Corvette is a great car at the $90k price point. 911 GT is a great car at the $200k price point.

Just my $0.02... being an American engineer that works with a lot of German and British engineers.

There you go again. Introducing anxiety about US 3RS allocations. As I pointed out to you in a previous post, EU regulations do not apply to car built to be sold in the US. There will be a 2025 3RS allocations mid June if not sooner. Those who had allocations will be reallocated to 2025 models. Build will begin after the factory returns from their yearly holiday.

Also, those that had their allocation reallocated to 2025 model will not get a price increase. This information is rock solid.

Well.... Mine just got pushed back another month. Started production and was supposed to be finished 29Mar and has been stuck post paint since then. It been delayed 2 times already and now the 3rd delay is saying new end or production estimate 25May. Any idea on what is holding these up so bad?
