Yeah no PTS. Which is what I expected the previous customer who had this allocation his reason for giving it up was because Porsche bumped this allocation from PTS. I already had a allocation elsewhere that was a non pts spec but the ADM was sky high. So taking over this one is way better for me than the one I had before so decided to take over the allocation from the previous customer.

My car is now at V250 since March 19, delivery date end of May. The dealer though already tried to manage my expectations and told me to only expect the car being delivered in August due to PTS and CXX options. Since signing the first contract in September 2022 what are another 4 months in the grand scheme of things! Hopefully it‘s here before the Master Training in Spa beginning of September.

Porsche has cancelled a lot of PTS allocations (and also non PTS allocations) over the last month´. My PTS was moved meanwhile 9 month.....but now it is build and in 4 weeks I can pick up!

My build started 29Feb, was painted, and expected to complete 16Mar, then it got pushed back 29Mar, now pushed back again to 26Apr. Maybe they misplaced the car haha

They have massive problems with Carbon Part Suppliers. Late and bad quality....
That is the reason for the delays

TYD says car arrived two weeks ago but no contact at all from dealer. Finally called them today, car did arrive but with a slight flaw on the hood. Waiting for a new hood from Porsche. Any guesses on the cost?

$55K CAD. Not painted. Beyond crazy. Less than $1000 in materials to make.
I make components from carbon pre-preg and those are my small shop material costs, so Porsche would be paying considerably less.
Process time - 2 pieces in autoclave about 4 hours. Trim via CNC cutter. Place in assembly fixture, bond in hardware. 1 hr. Bond hood halves together, 1 hr. Crate and process, 1hr. Easily done in an 8 hr shift. Plus paint and plastic wind deflectors.

Quality control on these is extremely poor.
Below is a recent delivery with finger prints in the clear in 2 locations, each with 4 fingers. Some lame worker handled them before clear coat without gloves and the surface wasn't prepped properly.

Wow -- that's incredible. The QC process for these cars is not lightweight, I can't imagine how that slipped through unless they pushed it out just to make the delivery knowing they'd need to sort it out later. I have to say it's really disappointing...

My guys says the cost of my replacement hood is $80,000 in the system. He asked management if I could have the defective one to hang in my garage. You can guess the response.

$80K? I dunno at that price might be worth to order two? Think of the future value and return on investment.

Management wants the hood for his garage, lol.
My 991.2 RS needed the carbon roof replaced due to some weird milky looking blotches in the clear. It was $17K CAD. I too asked for the roof for my wall but the dealer was required to send it back to Porsche. Dang.

At these insane costs along with the front fenders at about $25K CAD, there is a huge business case for making molds of them as soon as my RS arrives in June. Most likely some shop is on it!

From a QC / warranty claim standpoint, it makes sense to want back a part that expensive. Porsche will use that part to beat up their supplier to get the cost refunded and even levy penalties onto them, in addition to logging the QC incident in their records for future improvement.
