mine did same back in March, but on photo was missing the aero pieces behind the front wheels. Finally completed officially 2 months later in time for Euro Delivery in June. Mine was supposed to arrive in USA yesterday, so hopefully will finally get it redelivered here next week. Although, it’s already lived its best life driving the Alps for 10 days, the roads here in Midwest are not quite as entertaining

My car was allocated I think October if I remember. I had until March to lock in PTS.

I think we had an advantage in Canada on the ST as we received our allocations weeks before the US. I had my color ready and the dealer submitted for PTS the day the allocation came in. Typically US receives allocations first on newly released models.

I don't think that's how it works. I received my allocation late (my store is a new dealer, but an established dealer network), so my build was submitted several weeks after many US S/T cars. I think it's pure lottery

Given my dealer has an elevated status (premier, I believe) and none of its 4 ST's were approved for PTS, I think you're right. If I was the premier dealer, I'd question Porsche on how that makes any sense..

mine was submitted day1, even then got denied. I just picked up a later slot out of 3 that got offered to me. Lesson learned..pick earlier slots…

For the 911ST, it all had to do with your slotted production month. In the beginning of the allocation, PCNA informed all the dealers to submit their PTS request as early as possible, so that they could try to accommodate all requests. This was all going fine until Porsche ran into supplier issues (eg. carbon pieces) and this really messed up their PTS allocations. Since some of the parts comes directly from the suppliers pre-painted, you could see why this presents a problem when certain suppliers are having quality issues.
So all of a sudden, PTS allocations starting from June onwards started to be restricted and dwindled. And since most of the PTS builds were pushed to the later production months and Porsche prioritized regular colors in the earlier months of the building schedule (eg. February to May), this is what created the shortage of PTS cars on the ST overall.
