I have been in this threads a very long time and have seen topics go left, right, up and down. The good news is we all love cars. ST is going to be a special one & I am excited.

@cosmos or anyone else know if the new aluminum parts shortage affect st production?
My start and end of production dates are now 8/25 and 9/3 per tyd (moved about 1-2 days each)

It will be interesting to see when our production actually begins given we are both scheduled to start when the factory is shut down

Default Insurance Question

Hello all

What insurance coverage are you using for your ST? I have mine in my regular policy but am considering an agreed value policy. I appreciate your opinions.

Thanks

Or you could be like me, with the stuck in a perpetual limbo for two weeks and the system won’t work even update with any new production dates 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

The decision was made in late June to kick ST production into September, not sure why TYD did not update, as most have and most should have.

Now, if they can hold those dates, as I mentioned, the production line should be a very cool thing to see with mostly STs.

Regardless of any shortages, the ST takes production priority above all others.

Don't you have a heavy CXX build? Is that the reason for the longer production timeline?

First I've heard of that. Does that mean that any and all S/T's that currently show production starts prior to September are inaccurate?

Good idea. I use Hagerty and Berkley One, but there are others who do this also .

Yes it’s a heavy Sonderwunsch build with a 2 month production time. But that’s not the reason why it’s stuck in production limbo. More supplier issues apparently.

Now I can only look at this picture and dream about my ST 😓

No, there will be a few. But all the ones I’ve seen posted here won’t get off the line till September, regardless of what TYD says. And no doubt there might be a few that show September and don’t get built in September.

But as of today. The plan is to push as many ST builds in September as possible.

Let me ask this. Who has a VIN assigned?

Thanks Cosmos.

On latest update, I now have a VIN.

From a public company profitability smoothing perspective, I am sure they are happy to mix ST heavy in Q3/Q4 because the 992.2 price/mix will be poor (all base cars) w/ GTS only getting started in Q4 and the Turbo not until H2 2025. Speaking of... the Turbo will not be available for another 12 months, so it seems unlikely to me that the .2 GT3 will be in consumer hands during CY 2025.

Newb question, when does a VIN typically get assigned in the process?
