Those people paying massive ADMs will no doubt have regrets because it forces them to be careful with the car, they won’t enjoy driving as it becomes an investment. I highly suspect those people wouldn’t enjoy the driving experience that car offers anyway which is a real shame.

People like me who buy cars to drive will have zero regrets. I will rack up a few thousand miles in a few weeks this summer during ED. As it should be

One sold recently for $250k over and the spec was already locked in so someone paid a $250k ADM for a car arriving in May that was already built, just for context
If you don’t mind me asking do you know the spec of the car? pts? Thanks

I suspect you're right for the vast majority in that category. I know a few guys who paid an ADM because it's their dream car and it was their only way to get it, and they will drive it and enjoy it as such. Likely in the minority, unfortunately.

Not rumor, fact. Someone did pay $300k USD over for a car in NY. The person could easily afford it, think Greenwich commute to NYC by helicopter money. This is fact now. Someone hears of a “special” car and TBH $500k is just not that much money anymore.

We also need to rethink about the possibility that the next gen Touring (when spec’d out with similar options as the ST) will be very close in price. We will for sure see high $200k for a 992.2 Touring.

And at $500K it will see a whopping 500 miles a year I bet. That is the problem with these museum pieces that when people pay huge ADM's then they become a "hey look I am first at my C&C with one" type of car and then either flipped or sit in a car collection as art.

Porsche made it public the 4.0l will be done following this year. This will likely hurt the .2 variants.

So what? 500 miles (if at all any mileage is required by the morality police) is good. VIP customers have cars trailered from the dealer and trailer it back for the sale with just double digit miles. Thousands of Rolex watches is in safes, with their stickers on. Birkin bags in air conditioned safes.

Your money your choice in the land of the free.

Never said it wasn't so calm down. They can do as they wish. Just ashamed as these cars are so amazing to actually drive or wait for it I know most don't but, track them.
