i wouldnt be surprised to see the 4.2 and a manual.
This car will be lauched at the end of production of the 992.1 when the 992.2 carrera sit along side of it in showrooms.

I am struggling to see how the ST as descibed above justifies a huge amount over a high spec touring. My touring has a 6 speed, an exclusive interior in crayon and the mule pics of the ST look just like a 992 touring to my eyes with a space for a heritage badge on the rear.
I hope I am missing something.
Waat would be amazing and I know this is an unrealistic wish list:
- Rear seats as an option
- A road focused suspension comfy on the street like the 991 touring
- 50 to 100hp more than a 992 touring
- significant weight savings over a touring without removing too much sound deadening (this is my biggest gripe about the 992 touring)
- titanium exhaust
- duck tail and other amazing styling

I hope the ST isn't the SC recipe but applied on the GT3.
Here is what I have concluded:
+ We know the engine will be from the RS so +15hp from a gt3, unless it uses a 4.2L. Seems 4.2L is unlikely.
+ We know the RS is a bit wider with wider rubber so the ST should have that going for it.
+ The ST will have the heritage styling.
+ some weight weight reduction? Enough to be noticeable?
+ Limited production numbers
+ LWFW?
- We know the RS is all about active aero and downforce which the ST will not have.
- The ST will have the same manual gearbox as the gt3
- The GT3 touring already has the exclusive interior options which would likely be able to mimic the heritage interior of the ST.
Given the above, I am hoping the ST will have a 4.2L otherwise it is essentially a gt3 touring with some stickers and an unnoticable power bump for 50% more than a gt3. Furthermore It will likely cost more than a 3rs.
The only other thing I can hope for is exposed carbon stripes like the Turbo S Exclusive.
Apart from the exposed carbon or a 4.2L I can't see this car justifying thr price tag of what is likely 50% more than a gt3.
The 911R was so special because people believed it to be the last manual porsche with 4.0 and LWFW. Maybe their is something more special to the ST? I am still hoping for a 4.2L as this would jusitfy the price delta.

Unlike the SC, the ST will be a Motorsport (GT team) product. It won’t have the track performance of some other GT products, but it will be a special (and expensive limited car) with high driver satisfaction. If it doesn’t make sense to you, save yourself the money (and likely frustration of trying to order one if not a VIP) and skip it.
