If you say so and I respect your opinion.

I'm suspect of the direction all this goes.

Much in a way the ADMs have soared, it entices the brand to push the needle of what their base is willing to spend for "special" cars.

Just look at the direction now, Porsche is in route to match if not surpass McLaren MSRP Price points.

The jewelry boys will always be suckers for cars that are deemed special and yet overlook the really special cars such as the Sport Classic and Dakar because frankly they love the feeling of exclusivity without the ***** to actually step into a real driver's car.

I own a 997 3.8RS and what i love about it and made not get a 991.2 manual was the shorter R&P and the LWFW.
So happy they developed this car to have these as we might be able to install this LWFW and R&P from the S/T to the 991.2 / speedster / 992 manuals !!

Getting on the list for one in France also, very few buyers here. But reading your comment on pricing, people talk about 320k usd... here it is 380k€ so more like 410k usd.
Starting to wonder if i get the call if i will truly spend the money...

Let's see some reviews on how the car drives before concluding it's an Exclusive indulgence. My prediction for the ST: the whole will be greater than the sum of its parts, much as the 911R excels on the street and bests the Touring.

I'm excited to get one.

It is bizarre to me - especially given that Porsche is now a public company - that they will apparently not have a 50 year anniversary tribute to the 1973 2.7 RS as a stand-alone model (beyond the trim package for the GT3 RS).

That car could’ve been:

Sport Classic body (including ducktail, obviously)
S/T chassis
Manual only with LWFW and shorter R&P
Keep RWS (or don’t - indifferent)
Introduction of the 4.2L engine that Porsche began racing in the RSR in 2019

Call it “4.2 RS” and charge $400K

this! Ironically, had the same exact discussion with a friend yesterday. It also revives the formula of the original S/T; wider with a larger displacement.

2023 isn't over yet, and there's still milk left in the cow to squeeze people for another $400k.

How about a 4.2 RSR streetversion? I definitely believe there is one more to come!

I learned from my dealer that all NA dealers will get an allocation....AND....we're being offered the allocation.

I believe this car is special, in a different way than the SC. I love my SC and will very much enjoy adding an ST to the stable. Looking forward to specing the car! Might be my first PTS.

allocations are here. However, 911 PTS slots are sold out for 2024 for all 911’s, so none yet available for ST, so far. Looking into it a bit further

Surprised to hear allocations are here given the launch was yesterday. Would not be the normal based on history. Sure, some customers probably have the nod from the dealer but a build slot for an allocation doesn’t seem likely. Exciting time to be a Porsche enthusiasts. Take all my money!

What are the guesses on the ADM for this car? I have an “opportunity” to get an allocation, but I anticipate the ADM will be north of $150k. If that’s the case, you are looking at spending $500k+ after specking it which puts you in high end supercar territory. I just don’t see the value in that unless you plan on holding the car for 10+ years.
