It will be interesting how these cars get released. Im first on the list for the ST but not sure the value proposition.
I have a 992 touring which is the best car Ive ever owned all in all, and I’ve been very fortunate and lucky enough to own some special cars. How is the ST going to improve? I won’t be paying 100k for a exclusive interior(mine has that), stickers or 15 hp.
It’s going to need to be a real impressive package to trade my touring and pay a premium.
Then the next thought is will the 992.2 touring be just as good, or even better in some areas like the engine in the 991.2 touring vs the R. Time will tell.

That said, I am hoping for something truly special like exposed CF stripes, deep dish fuchs, etc. 4.2L would definitely do it, but I doubt it.

Exactly my thoughts. Not sure how 100k over a touring for a small hp bump ane some styling can stack up. My 992 touring already has an exclusive interior and a 6 speed. Great car and beating it won't be easy, especially to justify the price delta.

Porsche never makes an okay product. The ST will be more than what you think it is. The suspension improvements alone might be worth the price, but when combined with the magnesium and additional CF and aero elements, whatever Porsche wants to charge, I’m paying it. I’ve seen the car in person, trust me.

this was the exact argument everyone with an f80 M3 comp made against the f80 M3 CS, which is also why most sat on dealer lots…until you drove one and realized the car was greater than the sum of its parts.

that "softer GT3"was the 991.1 R (superseeded by the 991.1 touring bc that engine...)
the GT3 ST is another story
it's bigger (GT3 RS chassis) and firmer than the current 992.1 GT3 Touring

Wasn't quite what I was saying, though I dont know how it will compare to a 992 touring...but the 992 ST is supposed to have a softer setup, or more road biased at least than the 992 RS, even with the same body. Which would be a great thing for the ST as if its as stiff as an RS, it wouldnt be nearly as desirable to people who actually plan on driving the thing potential monetary gains aside 😂.

i don't see why the ST with same RS body, engine, and aero but wingless , should cope with more performance than 992 Touring but softer???
ST as the current Touring will not be any different
i agree on the Monetary gain reason (win/win for Porsche and Customer)
