PCCB very dusty!

Pretty sure it’s the regulatory changes that are affecting the composition of the pads for both Iron and PCCB brakes that is causing the changes to dust and performance. I think using pads from 991 should restore previous performance and dust characteristics.
Should not need to make changes to fluid nor rotors to have 991 performance.
Friend provided Porsche documentation that discusses the change:

Just an update on this. I’ve ordered the 991 pads from Suncoast for $1097 and will have them installed early next week. I’ll update after I can get some miles on them.

I’m going to find out for sure but my understanding is 991 and 992 pads are interchangeable. There were tweaks to the brakes - lines and caliper positioning but calipers are the same for PCCB

To add to this discussion...
I don't know who this person is and this is from the 718 board, but I think the GT3 and GT4 uses the same PCCB brakes.
This interests me because I test drove a 2021 GT4 with PCCB and made the choice for that option based on that test drive, so when I get my 2022 GT4 in about 6 weeks, I sure hope the brake feel is not different.

Just a follow up to my above post...
I contacted Suncoast Parts and they did confirm that the pads and calipers (at least for the GT4) are the same for 2021 and 2022 on the PCCB brake pads. The change in part numbers occurred from 2020 to the 2021 model year.
I would assume the same applies to the GT3 PCCB brakes as well.

Thanks! Helpful info. I did order from Suncoast - and I assume I'll have them to me by the end of the week... I guess I could go ahead and pull the current pads and look at the part number. Something is different - never seen dust like this on PCCB. Maybe they waited a year on the 911 and changed the part number in 2022. Who knows.

A bit of good news - I have confirmed that the part numbers for the 991 vs the 992 pads are different part numbers. It will suck that it is going to cost $1100 (plus install if you do not DIY) to get back to the dust free performance of the 991. As long as the pads fit we should be in business.

So it looks like for the GT4, the change happened from the 2020 to 2021 model year, and for the GT3 is happened going from the 991.2 to the 992, which is 2021 to 2022 model year.
Or maybe the same year for the GT3, I don't know if there was a 2021 GT3, so maybe it was actually the same years.

I have not heard of any.
I was just reading/learning about the copper content change on this thread and it got me worried for a sec. as one of the reasons I equipped my GT4 with the PCCB's was because of how much I liked them on the 2021 I test drove.
But it seems the one I test drove already had the material change already and it felt amazing to me. Also of note was that the PCCB car I test drove was quiet as a mouse, not a hint of squeal and maybe that is because of the no or lower (not sure which) copper content.
