Initially I offered $20K over for a GT3 GT4RS and GT3RS each and I’ll trade all back to the dealer and buy a Cayenne GTS/Turbo at MSRP for each. But can’t even place an order for any of them or get a serious call from any of the dealers I offered this to.

This was the deal I had with Reeves in Tampa since 2007, but after they tried to shaft me on the 2019RS, I asked for my deposit back when the dealership got sold.

Looking for a Lambo Evo, ordered a Corvette Z06 and maybe I’ll be able to pick up an AMG.
No more Porsches.

Dude, I'm surprised to hear this.. you're such a great brand ambassador. Good move on z06 though.

I’ll go test sit an EVO, anyone has a dealer contact? Just to carry me into the Z06 delivery..
I don’t mind a little over MSRP but I do need a good sales guy that will take a deposit and give me a rough delivery date as in what season in 2022. Porsche is unable to.

Guess wifey gets an Urus then lol. Too bad Audi doesn’t make a true track version of the R10 and AMG is all sold out.

Talking to a SA yesterday at my dealer, Porsche is pretty tight-lipped on future allocations on GT3 and when they're coming...could be January, could be March on MY2023 cars.

2022 or 23??? I will out my build in this week. My dealer said Summer I should have it.. Just curious how accurate that is.. Coming from Tesla, I'm a bit gun shy on estimated delivery dates.

AP,

Are you seeing this? I remember reading TRACKCAR’s threads over the years - many times. He is truly a brand ambassador. For him to say this and get a Z06 should be a wake up call. Get your sleezeball car dealer people in check. Is this how you want your GT department to be remembered? I thought this drama was one of the things that separated Porsche from the likes of Ferrari.

Add me to the list of owners who is getting a Z06 - at MSRP.

I am actually getting two (one is a backup to the other in case dealer gets greedy), but I will gladly pass my allocation to a member here at MSRP.

Its a bit hypocrisy.
anyone who can pay 100k over has FU money and should be proud to announce it. I don’t see why it’s so hard to admit. I for one, cannot afford 100k over so I found a dealer willing to let one go for 15 over.

Those with “FU money” already paid $100K+ ADM and have the GT3 parked next to their G-wagens and F-cars…and probably have no idea that Rennlist and these ADM threads exist 😀

sad situation but seems to happen even to the long term players
it's really pathetic

I already declared no more Porsches as well after a few years of difficulties like this. Very satisfied with other cars.
good on you and perfect example of why this is messed up

Wow I can’t believe an ambassador like you can’t get an allocation at a reasonable price! This really sucks. Just trading in your current model should lock the deal already. Crazy market we live in….

Damn…have read many of your posts over the years and its very unfortunate (ie shocking) you couldnt get an allocation despite offering an ADM 🤬

Default Reasonable Sales Model for 992 GT3

Considering all the ADM threads- what do you guys propose would be a reasonable, “fair” sales model for the GT3 for both consumer and dealer?

All cars (ie GT3 / 911 / Macan / Cayennes) sold at MSRP ie Tesla? Dealers giving first dibs to their highest volume customers? No ADM but buyers must sell back to dealer at MSRP within the first 6-12 months after purchase ala Ferrari?

And what should happen if Jay Leno calls his dealer tomorrow and says he wants a GT3 asap and will pay $500K for one? Should the dealer tell him to get to the back of the line? Or if a long time multi-GT client like mooty or trakcar is interested?

My only issue is that conceptually something doesnt seem right about outlawing ADM’s because MSRP is the end-all-be-all but at the same time people can grind the dealer for that extra $100 off on a Macan for 10+% off pre-COVID.

In my field, its akin to people suggesting patients negotiate or offer lower $ for physician services. As most of you know, we charge more than what medicare and medicaid reimburse but ulltimately what we charge is irrelevant- we only collect the copay + standard medicare comp. If we are going to things up and allow for pts offering lower $ for services, then at the same time it wouldnt make sense to limit comp at the medicare rate ie (MSRP)- and those of us who are good at we do can start charging (and receiving) higher ie ADM amounts. Currently bad docs and good docs all get paid the same for the same service-
