Many Trillions of USD has been artificially pumped into the economy over the past few years, seems obvious to me to expect inflation…

OP, if you have read through any of the numerous ADM threads, its clear buyers are paying anywhere from MSRP to 100K over.
IMO, the frustrating aspect of these threads is the data points are not applicable to your / my / anyone else’s situation. Consider the following (all fabricated, but conceivable)-
1) mooty aka the godfather gets msrp deal with CA dealer which he has bought and traded in multiple GT cars to over the last 15 years who just received an unexpected “extra” allocation
2) CAlexio gets MSRP deal in Nebraska for a Feb ‘22 non-PTS winged slot with GT3RS pre-trade
3) chance6 paying $20K ADM for a Sept ‘22 PTS Touring build, no trade, deposit placed 1 yr ago, Georgia
4) the other 80-90% of GT3 buyers with 0-100K ADMs on custom spec vs already built / ideal vs poorly specced / trade vs no trade / NYC vs Iowa vs CA / previous vs no relationship with dealer / etc etc
Ultimately, you have to do your own legwork in your market. I don’t believe other’s experiences are particularly helpful-

Just buy a 991.2 GT3 at 20k over, drive it for 2 years and trade it slightly under MSRP for an MSRP 992 GT3. You are still driving 97% of the car in street (track is different) in these 2 years and you are losing $20k at best, plus the car itself is $25k or cheaper (less base price, less options, etc). So you save $100k for doing this (assuming $100k markup).

thanks for the info from some of you that chimed in. Helps a lot. Thank you
FYI the GT3 is a incoming car (arrives next week) the person who ordered backed out, it's a little bloated, but still a nice spec I wouldnt mind picking up for maybe $20k over, maybe that's wishful thinking LOL
i sold by GT4 1yr old with 2k miles for $145k ... MSRP was $121k and I had purchased it for $116k.. I did not want to trade it so i sold it private party it went the same day i listed it. Was miami blue with nice spec
Nothing is private info, just helpful info, i dont understand all the people worried about this stuff.. if you dont have data, dont post unnecessary stuff, too much time on your hands i guess

Finally, it is helpful that you told us you drove a GT4 for 1 year for free, then sold it for $29K profit. I'd say you are right on track because GT cars as supposed to be driven for free, unless you're an idiot.
Most importantly, it's always wise to ask a bunch of anonymous, exaggerating, lying forum members for financial advice. Perhaps marital and parenting advice????
Final answer: I hope a dealer reads this and offers you an allocation for $100K ADM, then the next day offers you MSRP to buy it back. It seems if that occurred that would stop the value threads for an hour or two.

I think it would be helpful to the group if you gave some private financial info about yourself. For example, how old you are (assume 23), your yearly income (assume > $400K), living situation (assume live with your parents, but have entered into a workshare program with them), and investments (assume $1M - $5M in stocks and FANGs and triple witch options and any other financial term that is googled)

This thread is truly entertaining. Best point is there are plenty of GT cars from last gen available.
i am personally driving the wheels off my 991RS ad trust me im lucky if I extract 80 percent of the cars capabilities.
