Im a "guppy" whenever I hit Monterey for Car Week or Rennsport. There are always people on ANOTHER LEVEL.
Thats why its freaking ridiculous to hear the tone-deaf guy from USC talk about people paying ADM's and calling them DUMB money.

Technically by law, in California its fully refundable even though the dealer paperwork says it isnt. Who cares?

i’ve never had a CA ask for this. It’s possible this dealer needs some kind of insurance from a new-to-them buyer. Everything is negotiable. Shayan30 could try alternative ways to placate this like promising to finance or buying another car first and trading it in. Not sure what’s up. Advice only applicable to CA.

Let’s not forget that there are plenty of wealthy people who are adamant about not overpaying for things. They don’t tend to hang out in places like RL, and many of them aren’t interested in buying expensive cars in general.
I don’t think the RL population is representative even of Porsche owners in general. Those of us who post here with any regularity tend to be somewhat car crazed and/or have a lot of time on our hands.

I am a repeat customer with this dealer and its also my service center for warranty related items. I did propose I would trade one of the cars as well.
Guess I'll just have to make sure everything is in writing if we can work out a deal.

I have found the vast majority of exotic owners (porsche, lambo, ferrari, mclaren) do not frequent forums whatsoever. These forums create a bit of an echo-chamber because a small minority repeat the same sentiments over and over and it seems like that must be the "common law" when in reality the majority of purchasing does not follow the same logic or sentiment as most of what you'd see on here.
