CTEK MXS 5.0 Battery Charger and cigarette lighter attachment. I also made up a sign to put on the driver’s seat stating: “BATTERY CHARGER CONNECTED IN PASSENGER FOOTWELL — DISCONNECT BEFORE DRIVING!!” I made the sign for my wife, but, in all likelihood, I’ll probably be the one who is saves from driving off with it connected.

Default Carbon fan kit

Received my carbon fan kit and installed it. I like it, but I I'm looking for the aluminum Carrera and GTS badges for it.

You can easily wiggle the long bolt in the OEM mount by hand back and forth, Rennline mount no budging it. I have no plans to swap to the stiffer inserts as the yellow feel great.. Quality and fit is excellent.

Any feedback on noise and vibrations with yellow mounts? I installed soft trans bushings and it proved too much for daily. Wondering if engine mounts would have less NVH.
Thanks

Red Sport Chrono & Extended leather arm rest. I had a bit of crest envy, my seats don't have them.

Looks good!

How as the install of the red chrono face, specifically the removal of that center vent cover. Any specific tricks or do's and do not's to get that cover off?

Install was simple, took around 30 min, completely reversible... The kit I purchased is very high quality. It is not an overlay but replacement face/hands/trim. All parts made of solid feeling metal. Included black hour/minute hands. Face has same carbon pattern as OEM. It all screwed together nice. I really wouldn't be surprised if it comes from same place as the factory. They offer it in Bordeaux, Guards Red, and Yellow. Not sure about white. @BobZ you should hit them up for a custom blue one. That would be cool as ****.

Follow the install video Auto Amateur did for the overlay on YouTube. The kit I used is a little easier as you don't need to deal with positioning the new face or putting stickers on. It just screws on.

Additional pointers:
  • The center dash part, use plastic trim tool, start close to the window and work towards you. Once you get back corner areas up with trim tool, use your hands the rest working your way forward.
  • It is MUCH easier to unclip the rear light sensor by the window than disconnect the connector.
  • Before you put the gauge back in housing/reassemble, plug it into the car, and make sure the hands zero themselves. If they don't, unclip, correct, and recheck. This happened to me, second hand was off a bit, however it was no big deal, fixed it sitting in car.

I just did the same arm rest. It definitely does add to the interior. I would love to change my chrono face as well! Looks great!

In short yes, everything is a compromise. It seems the Rennline mounts also are more sensitive to temperature. In the summer months the NVH is noticeably less then winter months. I dont daily my car so not an issue for me.. Also everyone's level of acceptable NVH is different, for me personally I would be willing to accept the NVH increase if I had to daily my car. I however drive a 2500 diesel daily so anything would be an improvement.

thanks for the feedback. I'm noticing the temp makes a little difference as well. I will wait a little more to see if they will work in and settle touch more. Its a DD so a little hard to handle as it is now. Between noise and vibration it's almost like driving an air-cooled (i would imagine, never actually driven one )
