Finally some easy work...

I recently damaged my stock bumper lip climbing on my lift ramps, so I ordered a few things that were on sale!

The sportier, poutier lip - easy install, off and back on under 2 minutes (time includes finding and laying a towel on the floor) - can;t think of an easier job !

Here's a side by side before after - I now rub on my driveway, of course, but I'll just park it backwards instead.

This was not successful - I have the "no visible screw" install, and frankly the idea of popping the entire door panel for this stupid little triangle does not appeal to me. The panel came off 3 times already, Porsche replaced it for warping, then I had them do it again for subsequent vibrations, and I don't see the amount of work and risk of more vibrations being worth installing that flimsy piece of plastic.
I wish they'd simply done it as a cap you can glue over - but it's exactly the same size. I'll either try to cut the lip of it or return it, or stash it until I NEED to drop the door panel for another reason.

While at it, they had those for $80 a set, I'm a child but I love those lights

Wrapped up with a stylish drink, I 'm a martini racing ***** !

I didn't mind removing my door panels to install the wind diffusers, because I was already taking it off to resolve rattles that existed when I purchased the car. But I was disappointed in the trivial impact the diffusers actually had on the buffetting.

Exactly, thank you for confirming... My rattling was resolved so I don't want to risk it for a marginal improvement... I'll return those.

Real porsche part, suncoast, was about $80 or so for a set of 2 - which for Porsche is a bargain - 2 minute install...
In fairness popping the existing ones from the door bottom is not intuitive. I fumbled around with a plastic trim remover until they came out. Unplug in the electric connector, plug into the new light, push it in. Done !

It's not that bad when you consider that it comes with the battery and charger if you have other Dewalt tools that can use the same battery. This is why I try to stick to one brand.

I have the CF version of the diffusers from AWE. Zero buffeting (they were a gift for bringing the idea to Todd in the 1st place). On my 991.1 I had to drop the panels, but the 991.2 was easy since you could just pop-off the blindspot indicator and the screw is visible underneath.

By the way I did see there was a company offering the diffusers as a topical install with some 3M tape. Can't recall where however.

You are making a bigger deal out of it than it is. Total for both sides is around 20 min install. 15 for first side, 5 min for second. Any introduced vibrations (none?) you should be able to remedy easily because you will see how simple these door panels are.

Sea Sucker ski rack ordered for the Targa (delivery next week so no pics on my car yet). With winter shoes going on soon, I'll be ready to hit the slopes this season …

Here's what it looks like on someone else's Targa …

Very anxious to see this on your Targa. I didn't know the Sucker would work with the current 991
Thank you for posting.

The first question I asked them before purchasing was "will it work on a 2019 Targa?"

Someone elses "poser Targa". Never understood why they called this version a "targa".

Did full maintenance including spark plugs, bmc air filters, oil change, Castro’s track brake fluid, and the oem Porsche ssk.

The ssk is a HUGE upgrade over stock, absolutely love it. Not that expensive either.

no performance mods planned for my 991.1 gts. Setup almost perfect from the factory
