Everyone, many thanks for the advice and sharing in this fun experience. I have learned and enjoyed reading so much lately. Now, I am in the final stages and looking forward to tracking the delivery. I could use your collective advice so that I do not miss any key moments.
I ordered a base 911 with PTS in Stone Grey in June. I picked the color from a 57-59 option offered for 356 although I have never seen one in person (so I'm hoping it'll look good). I added a few other minor options including a PEC Atlanta delivery.

My boat arrives Saturday at 09:00 in Davisville, RI. I am thinking it will arrive at the dealership in VA by the end of next week. Since I'll be in Seoul all next week, I'll miss taking photos of it coming off the truck. I guess it isn't a big deal, but thought it would be cool to have it as part of the photo history.

I think it's time to join this thread. C2S was finalized today on my end. VooDoo Blue will be the color. This will be my first nice car, first Porsche and 50th bday gift to myself. I originally wanted a different color but VooDoo Blue took over.

That terrible time when your 911 is at the port and your just waiting on release from customs. Dealer promised me I can take delivery 120 minutes after it comes off the truck.

Can't leave waiting room yet. 17 days and counting since my Turbo was unloaded at the San Diego Port from the Glovis Comet. It was released for transport on 10/25, but then it was diverted to "Quality Control" -- where it's remained since. I've inquired with my SA and Porsche Corporate on a daily basis, but apparently, the port will not disclosed the reason for delay -- I'm hoping to find out today. Dates that were committed to release the vehicle for transport have not been met, so there's a big problem here. Would be good to know what it is, so that I can work with the Dealer for alternatives -- doesn't look like I'm receiving the one that I ordered back in May.
