Port was Rhode Island and it arrived at the dealership in CT on 10/9 and I took delivery 10/10.
I've been told factors include port speed/dock workers/how much cargo is being moved in general and how much is being moved off said vessel. Also sometimes your car will be loaded on the car carrier, but all the cars are held up waiting for other cars to be unloaded to "fill the carrier" before he can being his route. If you have a long day it could be because they chose it for a customs inspection or that it was damaged in transit and has to be repaired at port.
Every persons delivery situation is different. All you can really do is set expectations for the given date and hope for an earlier arrival. Usually it will take 1 more day for the PDI of your car @ the dealership as well. If you are doing PEC delivery then it can be 2-4 weeks delay as they want to make sure they have plenty of buffer in their PEC delivery program.

As this is my first Porsche, the extra days are excruciating!

I though the wait would be no big deal when I placed the order, but now I've sold the other 911 and the motorcycle is out of commission - it's a lot more painful when you can't just drive a toy whenever you want!

I still have my S550 but when you've been dreaming about a Porsche since tender age of 8 / 9 - to a 35 year old now it is a transport back in time - each day is an eternity of waiting to relive the childhood feelings.

There are three Porsche blacks as options.
Black, Matte and Gloss. Gloss black simply not an option for my exhaust.
I have Gloss Black washers and wanted a match to my washers and Gloss Black wheels..
Really doesn't make a difference.
I'd like to see the black your dealer provides.-Richard
I'll post a picture when it arrives and in the interim see if I can find out what they propose to use - I'll let you know

With that said, mine is now officially at the dock in Rhode Island - hopefully off the ship.
The ship is meant to set sale Friday morning - thus Tomorrow and Thursday - they are meant to be loading her up I would assume.
Now we wait for
-Customs?
-Boarding a trailer?
-Making the stops to the dealers that have cars on this trailer?
-Drop off at my dealership in Warrington PA?
-PDI
-Paperwork Signing
I believe I included all the steps. I could be wrong.

Working with PEC Atlanta now to determine my delivery experience. Looks like Nov 30th or Dec 8th, just waiting for confirmation on one so I can plan my trip.
Anyone have hotel suggestions for Atlanta? Leaning towards the Ritz Carlton. Shocked they don't offer shuttle service from airport nor to PCNA HQ. Seems like a missed opportunity...

Happened to me as well the first go around with the ship settling sail. Terrible feeling when you are this close!

Bummer! Wonder what happened since we both had same production exit date, and mine ended up out of production and on a boat before that date.

Hi All
I've just started an order for a GTSilver '17 TurboS from Fremont Porsche (NorCal) and have been given the following schedule:
Event Expected Date
Delivery date determined 10/20/2016
Vehicle fixed 12/02/2016
Vehicle entry to body shop (CP 0.0) 12/09/2016
Vehicle exit production (CP 7.8) 12/16/2016

Vehicle exit of CT-assembly (only CT vehicles) 12/23/2016
Vehicle completion (CP 8.0) 12/23/2016
Entry port Emden 12/23/2016
Exit port Emden 01/13/2017
Entry port San Diego 02/10/2017
PDI in
NA19 PDI finished
Release for transport - Monroney printed
Exit port San Diego 02/24/2017
Dealer invoiced
Dealer Inventory 03/03/2017
Looks like a Christmas season build...hope that's not statistically significant in some adverse way.
Gonna be a looooong winter.
Only options of significance are upgraded sound, natural leather, no sunroof, gloss black sport classic 5 lug wheels. I was briefly interested in the aero option but this car needs to stay on the lower-profile end of the spectrum. OK. Ordered a manual transmission with a real third pedal....um.....oh, right....no.....they wouldn't sell me that. rats. strike that. Next time I guess....
Any options you selected that I should reconsider? I have time left it seems.
I'm coming out of a short line of silly cars. This will replace a 996TT I've had for a while and tracked just a little. Looking forward to this new toy, though I'm gonna have to figure out something else to do with my left leg... Shifter kart braking sorta thing.
Cheers to Rennlist and y'all.....what a fantastic source!
Now I'll need to further study the "how to collect the car from the dealer" threads.
