Yeah, as I understand it you "own" the plate and then it can either be registered to a car or not, as long as you pay the annual fee.

And, funny, I got this configuration:

I like all of the blue. Plus, well, at least some of the fees go to a good cause.

sorry to go off topic, but when I got the postcard from the DMV to collect it stated something to the effect that it had to be registered to a car within 30 days or the plate would be returned to the pool.

I guess I might go and find out

I'd love to know what you find out. If that's required (register to a car within 30 days), I could register them to my BMW (and let it be nonsensical for a few months) and then move them to the CC when it get it. But that would be a bit of a PITA.

I'm having my "PCA 60" CA plate delivered to my local AAA Branch instead of the DMV. In the past, I asked them to hold my environment plate for a few weeks when I wasn't ready for it. They did.
Not sure how they'll feel about holding it for four months. Hopefully, they'll offer a solution.

^^^ I'm still liking the first design. It's the cleanest.

PCA as the first three letters was a given for me. But then what? 6O seems like the next characters.

Anyone but me wondering if the last 5 units were taken or are they still up for grabs.

I find this entire raffle process poorly managed.

i just got an email from Vu.

"Hi all,

At the moment we have four Club Coupes that remain unclaimed for purchase. Again, I know many of you are ready to write a check to purchase, but please understand that we have to follow the raffle procedures.

I did conduct two rounds of winner selections last week. Announcements were made on Monday and Wednesday.

Make sure to stay close to your phone and emails next week, as you'll only have 48 hours to confirm your intent to purchase.

Have a great weekend and good luck!
Vu "

The CC 60th is turning into an embarrassment for PCA. They should thank their lucky stars that they didn't plan on making 600 of them.

The lottery process may have turned out to be a little clumsy, but I think the car is resoundingly not an embarrassment.

The fact that over a thousand PCA members "said" they wanted a chance to buy one of these cars, and then a few changed their minds when picked, seems as expected.

Not trying to be argumentative, but I'm curious on how you think this process could have been better handled.

You are correct. I should have stated "The CC 60th process is turning into..." The 60th will be unique.
