HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
Another decent looking car in the Rennlist classifieds...
2012 991.1 S Cabriolet
For me, it's a triple deal-breaker (no cabs, no pdk, no red) but different strokes and all that... Definitely a nice looking car! I'd rather see it with CPO or a few less miles for the asking, but the market is strong right now.

Actually Craigslist. Waiting on a deposit. So I guess it's up for grabs. First deposit takes it.
I didn't really like cabs until I drove a 911 cab. Def a great car. You get the whole Porsche experience without the need for PSE

HFS brain-trust thoughts on this one? I have it on hold right now at Carmax... Looking at it next weekend.
2012 991 C2
Previously CPO'ed Jan 2016 which will probably wash, but likely in great mechanical condition.
My dream 991? No, but one of the lowest priced no-accident, lower mile 991's I've seen. Priced on top of the nicer 997.2 S cars with similar miles. And 981 Cayman S's with essentially the same engine.
Looks very clean in the pictures, but then again, it's Carmax. Could be a gem, could be a roach.

Miles? Oh. See it's 56K .. At only $36K off MSRP with no CPO and with that mileage .... I get the low price point, but ....
Which location? How many owners?
No power steering plus? What will you do

Looks to me like two owners, original purchaser 08/2012 and CPO purchaser 12/2015. Autocheck 'calculates' 3, but one of them looks like when it transitioned from a lease to original owner at exactly 3 years.
I might struggle without the 'every sales representative checks this box' PSP option, but hey, there's always gym memberships if turning the wheel at slow speeds is an ordeal ;-)
Probably not the right car, but still interesting data for price point and worth checking out.
On $ off, I think the % or $ off asking is a bit different on lightly optioned cars... A handful of highly desirable options truly add real value to these cars (for me at least), the rest depreciate at a MUCH faster rate than the base car itself.

pfbz, the price point is nice. I think you could have a lot of fun with this car. Are you getting it transferred to your city?
If it's in really good condition, could be a serious consideration.
You think it's still CPO'd?

Sure - how about this 911 Carrera S Coupe 6-Speed Manual for $63500? Can't wait to find out why the # is NY and the mileage that was conspicuously not listed...

Nice build, good price. If that one has a clean carfax, good buy for someone. [edited, noticed is was a base not S...]
Also, its nice to post the actual info, not just a link, so viewers can see the info after the ad is flagged or sold.

As a side note, might be coincidence, but I've seen the Porsche market loosen up a bit just in the past week...
I've found several really nicely optioned / nicely priced cars after just about giving up... Not all 991's, but just a comment on the general Porsche market:
Let's hope we see some more HOT cars at GREAT prices pop up in the coming weeks...

- An awesome Cayman GTS - flawless, low miles, nearly perfectly optioned (but it has PDK which is a deal breaker for me) full cpo at a fantastic price! $72K.
- A loaded manual shift 997.1 Turbo (with PCCBs!)... Another car that has had silly pricing in the past couple of months... $61K.
- A super clean low mileage 997.2 S DFI manual car, also priced right $53K.
- That great red S/Cab/PDK at $69K above that someone should JUMP on if he hasn't taken a deposit yet!
Let's hope we see some more HOT cars at GREAT prices pop up in the coming weeks...

What's the saying? Until...lady signs or when pigs fly?
At least someone has gone to second base instead of perennially striking out
