Some of you guys should go back and scroll some of the listings from a couple years ago. Pretty interesting.

I wish my posting skills were better back then. More pics, build sheets, and VIN # posted. Geez, I didn't even know how to pull build sheets at the beginning.

Such an odd Carfax on this one. Sold at 1,646 miles after 2 1/2 years and sent to auction right away. Doesn't make sense that someone would drive it only 1,600 miles in 2 1/2 years and then sell it to a dealer that would auction it.

Anyone have any thoughts on why this would happen with such a good build?

Was thinking about that too. Odd, yes? Unheard of? No. Needs some more looking into.

And about 18 months after I posted that...I wound up trading in my 991.1S for another 991.1S that I found in this thread LOL!

(Alas...it was not Sapphire Blue but I think I did okay anyways...).

[QUOTE=STG;14264023]I think the "hype" has surpassed reality here and with some dealers and FSBO's.

Are prices up? Sure. Less cars out there? Yes.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. The cars that are selling and not selling is the reality out there.

Let's not turn this into a GT3 and GT3RS circus where these speculators have overpaid buying cars to flip and now they're being held hostage and not moving at current asking prices. They're into them deep and don't want to discount. Bad spot to be.

I get it but you never know my friend. I was told the same about my gated Ferrari 360 and I sold her a few months back for a record price from the little research I have done.

*** for every seat I was once told

This looks to be an amazing car! I left a message with the dealer....looking for a friend who wants a white car; but I might convince him to buy this one if it checks out.

Regarding 2013 X51 Carrera S ... Found this:

https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/...arrera_S_et_al

Original owner got busted for something and car was taken away? Might explain some of the history

I have a "gut feeling" this car has just had an unfortunate past with no real love. Worth digging into it and getting a PPI. Maybe it has zero issues? Based on the mileage, other than a potential accident (which we see no evidence of so far) should be good.

PPI should probably include careful inspection under the seats and in some of the frunk hidden areas

It is forfeiture for violation of US code - 18 USC 981 (a)(1)(C). See other defendants include a Hummer, cash, and western union wire.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/981

Go ahead and see all the violations that apply for the forfeiture. It ranges from public official corruption to money laundering. I think it is money laundering. Just a guess
