Pretty car, but not that much of a discount from original sticker, about 17%, doesn't seem like a hot deal on a two year old car unless it is EXACTLY the car you are looking for... Plenty of GTS's to be had at that price point, which do seem to hold their value a bit better.

Honestly their are tons of options at that $120K+ price point on cars that have had significantly more depreciation sucked out of them or models that tend to depreciate significantly slower...

I think there is little to no chance that PCOS would take the $$ that would be offered if that car was going to be a 'hot' deal. They are essentially selling it as a new car car with a fairly big discount for a new car, not as a two year old used car.

I believe CarMax does not permit PPI's although they do offer a five day return privilege after purchase.

Thanks @pbfz I agree with you completely. What do you think a good reasonable price is for that one? It has a long history of not getting sold, so I am willing to do some target shooting here...

Yup, I think that website has some incorrect or at least misleading data... For example, I thin it was highly unlikely that it was in Reno Nevada, Salt Lake City Utah, and Des Moines Iowa a ll on the same day...

It definitely has gotten around though. I bet it actually was unloaded and shown to customers at ten or more locations?

Also, the accident was at 80mph? But no airbags and no extrication? Am I missing something
A pre-delivery "non collision" crash at an estimated 80 mph with 9 miles on the odometer? Does sound pretty fishy, unless perhaps it was something like a wheel falling off, or even some sort of accident damage that occurred while it was still on the transport?

Maybe it was parked and somebody slammed into it at 80mph.

Car is already under reservation again.... And this is my guess as to why it hasn't seen many price reductions. I'll speculate that CarMax's uses data analysis on a corporate level to flag cars that need a price reduction (and very possibly automatically make that reduction), but I'll also speculate that the key data element they look at is 'days available' for sale, not total days in the system. It keeps becoming available, and then very quickly goes under reservation again, often the same day. Then pops out of reservation a week or three later (or more) and the cycle repeats. And I'll guess that even though the car has been at Carmax for well over a year, there aren't that many days when it was actually available for sale and not under reservation or being transported somewhere. It did sit for a bit in the beginning, and that is when we did see some active price reductions.

Very few vehicles would ever have this sort of problem, most people aren't actively hunting all over the country for a Ford Mustang for example and shipping it all over creation. If they have such an automated system, this car just falls through the cracks and with the thousands and thousands of other vehicles they process, nobody is tasked with fixing the problem.

Just speculation...

I can only think of one scenario: Porsche Corporate track car

Yes, with information gems such as:
Is it wet, damp, or muddy?

Does it smell?

Does everything match?

Is there excessive rust?
Some great pointers there... Might have bought a damp, smelly, mismatched rusty car had I not hit that clickbait!

No need for concern here I'm sure. Engine drops for easy for access. Some warranty work. Don't think anything to be alarmed about.

just a heads up up to those hunting, they came down to 69,990 on this car with little effort but wouldn't budge lower.

hope someone gets it!

Do you mind expanding on your CPO comment? As this is being sold by an Audi dealership, how is CPO an option?

Maybe it was on a transport truck that had an accident. Tire blow out.
