Just put a 2013 C4S on hold at carmax in FT Lauderdale.

No pictures yet, but no accidents on file. Price is $73,998. Miles are 21k.

Link is here. https://www.carmax.com/car/14747972

Build sheet is below. Any thoughts on the car and price?

Is anyone in the area that could take a look at it?

Thanks,

Joe

It's both sad and exciting how crazy the pre-owned market has gotten. After having paid 112 for a year old, new GTS, these prices seem insane but make me happy that I'm enjoying our car with little to no depreciation

(I am kidding of course...I like the 996 and at current prices, they are performance bargains (if you get the IMS fixed). But I don't see them as collectibles any more than most fourth gen Vettes, for example.)

Looks good on paper, but in my opinion Carmax cars definitely need 'eyes on it' more than say a Porsche dealer as they do seem to get a few that have cosmetic issues.

Nice build, nice color combo, very decent price point.

Cali and Florida are the two states that Carmax often can't transfer cars out of and often need to be sold to a local address often with corresponding local sales tax. Is that the case with this one?

They will transfer it. I received some cell phone pictures and it looks good. Claims there is no paint work other than some front end chips that have been touched up. Still under warranty for a few months.

Anyone around FT Lauderdale want to swing by and take a look?

Any other opinions on price?

Pictures are on the link - https://www.carmax.com/car/14747972

Thanks,

Joe

HOT car, lukewarm price...

2015 C2S
1,700 miles
$125K sticker
$101K ask
On PCA.org

No vin provided, but they list it as:

White over Black
Full Sport Design package
Manual, PDCC, Spasm, SE, SC, Sport Design Wheels...
Extended CPO Warranty
Seller claims it is a 'Sport Design edition, 1 of 100'. Not familiar with this... Just an options bundle?

Maybe some know all about it, but others are possibly as clueless as I am about the 'sport design limited edition'...

(sorry, deleted some previous info)

This seems to be the most accurate info on what the sdle is all about, but it looks like it is page 2 of 2.... 1 of 2 probably talked about the exterior, Sport Design bodywork, wheels, paint colors...

And a blurb from an old Porsche press release...

'"Porsche Cars North America has created a special package specifically for the MY ’15 911 Carrera S model.

This package, called the “PCNA SportDesign Edition,” bundles most of the sport oriented and SportDesign optional equipment including the SportDesign exterior and a SportDesign steering wheel featuring a 12 O’Clock marker in Guards Red. Offered in 2 body styles, coupe or cabriolet, 3 exterior colors, and with the choice of a 7-speed manual or PDK transmission, this package allows customers a level of differentiation in combination with this special package.

Only 100 of these SportDesign Edition packaged 911 Carrera S models will be available, representing a limited opportunity to obtain this vehicle which offers a great customer value."

I don't attribute any 'extra value' to the limited edition nonsense, but it is a nice bundling of options.

Wrong thread, this is for 991.1 generation only. But since you did post here, I'll comment that I can't imagine 10% off sticker for a private sale 2017 C2S is going to get it sold...
