Still hunting... I'm picky. But I've also let a few slip by that I should have jumped on and now prices are higher... STG previewed me on a very hot HFS car a while back that I should have jumped on even though it was PDK.

Musts: Manual. Coupe.
Wants: S (would consider base). SC, SE, Full Leather, other driver-oriented options. Meteor gray is a color fave.
Nots: Yellow, Guards Red, accident history, ugly interiors.
Ideal price target: $55K base, $65K S. Don't mind some mileage. Cash buyer, I hate to finance, and this is the $ I'm comfortable locking away in the garage right now.. (I do realize that this isn't overly realistic in our current 991 market)

I'm also looking at a few other Porsche models... 981 Cayman GTS, 997.1 Turbo, and 997.2 GTS (manuals, coupes only!) which also overlap my target 991 price. Nothing touches the 991 however for $$ off original sticker with minimal years and mileage! A 10 year old 997 Turbo currently sells for about the same as a 5 year old 991.1S with similar $120K original stickers and ~30K mileage..

With all the interesting cow data posted on the HFS thread, now I know the 991.1 market is seriously short of supply.

Maybe looking for that Meteor Gray 991.1 might be an obstacle

Key quote: "Should have jumped on"

When I say, don't doubt me, don't doubt me!

Please no PM's on listings I'm hiding out in the HFS barn. There aren't any.

But you already know I'm biased and like Yellow cows. In the garage. And milk in the refrigerator. Best of both worlds

Beat them up on the price a tad more and get a sweet looking S. It's got "tight German handling" after all.

I was queued up to put a hold on this C4S if the current hold dropped. Just got a text from my sales rep that was trying to get me the car:

"Purchasing guys said it has been repainted down the entire passenger side." Presumably in an unreported accident or other event requiring repaint... Kind of explains the price.

If the accident info that the other Carmax 991 I posted up this morning is accurate, that's two-for-two today on Carmax cars with clean autochecks having significant paintwork. Buyer beware!

Exactly! Except for the pesky 'No Yellow' part...

Evidently I should like Racing Yellow, as I think I've seen more 'pfbz perfect' configs in that color than any other!

All this talk of colors, might call out the Great Eduardo. He's like a genie that appears whenever color topics come up.

I do love RY. Especially on your GTS with the black roof and black accents... Very tasty.

But I just sold a bright yellow car and swore I would not do it again. I'll admit it, I sometimes drive like an a-----e* and need my 'boring gray/silver' camouflage!

I have done it. I got myself a really nice 991.1

It is a 2014 C2S Cabriolet in Guards Red with Black interior. SC, SE, PDK, Sport Design Steering wheel with paddle shifters, 14 way seats with Premium, and a few more options. No leather interior.
But the best part was it had only 1945 miles on it.
It was a local car, private seller. Very clean car!!
I am over the moon right now!!

I'll need to take some better pictures. All the ones I have so far include my ugly mug with my big grin.
