Looks like those nicely equipped, low mileage, priced between $70-80K CPO 2012.5-14 991.1S are all gone?
Three Wheelin'
Read this thread almost every day even though not in market for .1. It's an enjoyable diversion and also the hunt and wait for the right pre-owned car or an order is part of the experience. Also enjoyable for me when long-time HFS followers finally get there car (rooting for you PfBZ!)
Reading the thread lately I wonder if it's time to redefine what is a truly HFS i.e. Can be over 100k? Is there a paradigm shift in pricing I wonder. I always thought .1s would hold their value long-term but didn't anticipate what we are seeing now. Selfishly I want to see more cars on HFS! Keep up the great work all.

If the market or housing corrects, how many buyers, for what for many people is essentially a 3rd car, disappear? If 20% fewer buyers are in the market for a used 991, you will see drastically lower prices. With the current run-up in asset pricing, it is likely many "newly affluent" buyers are also shopping for their first 911, and it is this group that wouldn't have existed 3 years ago, and may not exist in another 3 years.
I would guesstimate that 90% of all buyers are not enthusiasts and have zero appreciation for an NA vs Turbo engine. Especially in the 991 platform. I meet quite a few people driving 991's around my place of work, and I would say 10% are enthusiasts, 40% have owned Porsches before but aren't into specifics, they just like the way they drive, and the other 50% just want a high-end car. When visiting Dallas recently, I lost track of how many 991.1 and 991.2 I saw in Highland Park. I would be surprised if I could call 10% of that crowd "enthusiasts".
The number of financed transactions vs cash transactions on CPO cars, vs. 3 years ago, would tell us a lot, for instance.
This one is HOTT too!
Someone BUY IT! I'd buy this in a minute if I as shopping for one.
Hope this becomes a HFS ALUMNI 991.1

What a sweet car.

I see a lot of enthusiastic buyers of 718 cars, with few exceptions they like the 718 over the 981 because of the more modern electronics, include Apple carpray, the auto-distance cruise control, lane change assist, LED lights etc.
A couple people like the 718 S for its speed/price, which is arguably good. If you don't add options, otherwise you make a $95,000 Boxster.

I'll never complain again about a $112,000 991.1 GTS

The 911 sales are off. Gains are in newer Suv class and God awful Pnamerica, ie daily drivers.

$150K 4cy 718
As a teenage girl would say ... OMG
To me, they're way overpriced at $90K

I've been trying to post a car to this thread all day but it keeps on saying that it needs to be approved by a mod first... any reason for that?
Trying again now and this just seems to be a good deal overall for the miles and option package:

My 718 was quite expensive at $90k (yes STG, overpriced ), most are much less $$.

Nothing like taking a LONG drive well out of town where the roads are empty, long, straight, and asking for some high screaming RPM's. Yes, Sport +, PSE, and PCM OFF come in very handy for times like this.
Kills bugs fast but too bad they stick, splat, and also love the Rennline mesh
Driving around town or in even moderate traffic feels very chained down at times with cars like these if you know what I mean. I love taking those rural drives. Always looking for new routes with curves and straight roads. Just getting in and going for a random drive with no particular destination is the best. Many of these back roads, I barely passed any cars and could see VERY far
The cows were looking at me like I was a UFO or something. All turning with a blank stare.
