HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
Race Car
Nice build and very low miles on that one, BTW...
[QUOTE=Ecloebl;14166370]They have one of those at the Automuseum Prototyp in Hamburg. I was there last week and was very impressed. Sorry, but I could not find an image of the cut-away.
I found it! A 997?

Hi Folks - I am new to this thread, and I am in the process of purchasing a used, NA 911 -- most likely a 2015. I just wanted STG and the crew to know that I have reviewed the convo's on this thread for the past 10 days or so and received quite an education. I feel much more confident discussing builds and prices as a result. I am very appreciative of the time and experience that you all have shared here.
Hhmmm---targa 4s with powerkit and manual.
I will let the forum decide if it is hot for sale---it is a rare 991---

I can see a non-performance oriented buyer going for the Targa, all that uber expensive extra leather and aluminum, deviated stiching, etc.
Then you get the performance oriented buyer who wants the manual, splurges on the powerkit, but neglects to order Sport Exhaust, Sport Chrono, PDCC (probably really nice on a top-heavy Targa), and/or SPASM?
Hot? Not in my book...

IMHO that Targa is going to sit a loooong time unless there is a big price drop. Yachting blue leather is not a popular interior color and as noted there are virtually no "drivers options" on the car. As noted a manual seems to indicate a drivers car but the build is all touring. I fuess only time will tell.

As mentioned, SPASM not an option on a Targa or Cab.
The biggest obstacle here?? The YACHTING BLUE interior. Will cost this seller greatly (-$$$$$) on resale. Other than that, a nice car.
At this price point, not the market for it here unless it was $115K or less.

With low miles and only two years old, I think that Targa 4S is priced appropriately - with no CPO, I would ask ~ $125k, though. I don't mind the yachting blue interior on that car. Powerkit 4S Targa with Sport Technos...me likey! Not a fan of the clear lights, though (YMMV, also this can be changed) and why pay all that for deviated stitching that doesn't "pop" - you can hardly see it in the photos (hopefully it would show up better in person). Silver seatbelts are classy add, though.
Give it another year (and the ensuing drop in price) and it will probably be HFS-worthy with a substantial discount over original MSRP.

Thanks.
As a side note, to clarify for some. The COV's (change over valves) and just small electronic switches that plug in. Not mechanical in any way.
Your 997.1 to 997.2 example is a good one. A good example of my comment that the 991.1 will be the favorite child of the 991 generation which will be unique as all .2's have been favored on most models.

Maybe a HFS candidate if it is discounted $2,000 more?
