We just don't want links posted. Isn't really informative for anyone. I appreciate it. Thanks.
Please direct me to the page that tells how to post the HFS format. I am not familiar. The link I posted didn't offer much up since the ad is so new. Not even a picture yet, but I am all for learning what others want. Thanks.

^ Have been a few posts mentioning it. I think I need to do an updated version with notes. Will post later. For reference, see my listings as guidance as well.

Also, we don't want to be a second AutoTrader here. We look for unique cars at great deals and somewhere in between sometimes. We just don't want to post the run of the mill dime a dozen overpriced cars. Following here for a while, one learns the HFS criteria. A criteria which also has a grey area sometimes. Nothing is set in stone.

Many students here have paid attention and have learned a lot. One needs to follow closely here daily to become educated.

One can't expect to pop in and learn A-Z in a few days or find their car in a week. Although, many of he cars listed here have gone through the HFS filters and are instant potential buys for many as we've seen time and time again. In other words, there are a handful of us who have an "eye for deals" and great cars.

The MAIN point of HFS is educating buyers to be able to make great buys and productive searches. More often than not, guys find their cars on their own. Although, what they learn here helps them tremendously. More buys are made by guys finding cars on their own than buying what's listed here.

Hope that makes sense to everyone here? Especially any new guys.

What STG said. Our car didn't come from HFS. But reading HFS for months before - even though we had a new to us C2s cab - prepared me for the task of replacing that car after my "incident" on the way to Rennsport 2015.

Without learning the range of discounts from MSRP, the resale value of certain options, the signs of a unicorn, etc we would not have been able locate and more importantly act decisively on our current car. We bought out of state off of a half dozen photos and a local PPI from a Porsche Certified Collision Center (which hints at the nature of my "incident"). Including the three years prepaid service, the ceramic tint, and the Escort 9500ci, we paid about 32% off MSRP on a 14 month old car that had only 4700 miles. Even without the options we still saved 30%! Thanks George!

Alrighty, I'm going to try and bump up my standing in the HFS fraternity...

At at 25.6% depreciation, this light, but well- optioned C2 Manual is approaching some HFS territory in my opinion.

Especially considering the millage: 3,705 miles.

EBay listing is offered at OBO- so maybe there's some wiggle room to get this into a real HFS territory..

Sport Chrono, Sport Design package, 7spd, Clean CARFAX.

^Not a hot deal at $77k, unless low mileage is the top priority.

$80k territory puts you in a C2S with a $30k higher MSRP.

Agreed, it's not HFS yet... but the listing is OBO, so maybe another $4k lower and it'd be of interest?

I'm not sure if this is a smoking deal, but this one checks off most of my want list. It's a PDK. Walter's Porsche is one of the more reasonable Porsche dealers in So Cal, so they will likely deal on the car. If I wasn't hot on the trail of another car, I'd seriously consider this one.

I've learned that the lack of Sport Chrono won't be popular here on HFS.

It still depends on whether or not you are focused primarily on mileage. Personally, I would look for a well-equipped '12.5/13 CPO C2S with 20k miles instead of a base '14 with 3k miles.

2012.5 C2
VIN WP0AA2A95CS106253
37K miles
$88.5 Sticker
$53.9 Ask
Link: http://www.atlantacargurus.com/used/...79350c1a5a.htm

Very basic build but MANUAL, sunroof, sport design steering wheel, 20" S wheels. No Sport Chrono (which I think is probably o.k. on a base manual).

Two owner, clean carfax. In Georgia. Looks like it has a matte black wrap? Looks nice, but I always wonder exactly what is underneath...

As a percentage of original price with higher miles, not the hottest deal around, but one of the least expensive non-accident 991's we've seen. I'd be taking a look at this one if it was closer. In 997 S price range, and I'd definitely consider a 991 base over a 997.2 S at similar price points. Tons of 991 fun on a beer budget (well, maybe a fancy microbrew budget :-).

I know a car in what I think is that wrap. It looks ragged very quickly, more quickly than gloss wrap. I think the surface is more vulnerable to flying debris.

Owner is probably temped to put a clip-on/off mechanism in the fenders next time he's in there

I have some matte black vinyl wrap on my truck... It definitely doesn't stay pristine. Muddy splashes, especially if not cleaned off fairly quickly, seem to discolor it. Not really a problem on an F150, but not really I look I would go for on a 911. But I also wouldn't be driving a 911 on too many rainy days or ever on muddy dirt roads...

The good news is that on a hot, sunny day, most of the wrap pulls off very easily and cleanly by hand. Then you know what the basalt black paint underneath really looks like...

Just as a HFS price-adjustment data point...

Suncoast has the 991.1 PSE priced at $2575. Plus the local dealer labor to install, anybody know how many hours shops usually charge? Probably at least another $500.
