I think the whole market will soon be at a braking point though... used car prices have gotten irresponsible - especially for older Porsches and the likes of old Ferrari, etc.

With a more controlled[limited] inventory of new 991.2's - there's not enough to supply the new to the brand buyers AND the trader uppers. Interesting times.

^^^ I don't hear any complaints about not being able to get a 991.2

Are allocations more tight? Absolutely. See inventory building up on dealer lots like Macans? No.

They learned a lesson with 991.1 Turbo S's, Panameras, and Cayennes. Over supply and deep discounting even brand new.

Porsche has tightened up supply to maintain less discounting and maintain resale values. After all, not easy to sell new $140K 991.2's when you see the deprecation in 1-2 years. Stronger resale market supports new car sales.

Is the "collector" market in a bubble?? Yes. Starting to deflate already.

For a contact, Craig Muthard is the Finance and Internet Manager. Never closed a deal with him but talked with him several times, straight shooter. (303) 794-3550

Stevinson is only about 10 minutes away from me if anyone ever needs eyes on one of their cars...
+1 for Craig Muthard. Total straight shooter, no BS. Really enjoyed working with him and wished I could have closed a deal, but the car he had wasn't close enough to what I wanted.

Interesting - Mine is only 2K less MSRP but lacks Burmeister, leather and parking sensors. I do have 18 way seats and SC, PASM, etc... I too have a launch vehicle.

If it was only a manual. Guess everyone purchased PDK. That car is perfect for me other than that.

Interesting how so many of these well-optioned cars lack PSE. I agree though, decent price assuming one does their due diligence.

Not so. My first 991S was a launch car and it had PSE.

Of the must have's, don't understand the obsession with PSE on the build sheet. It is easy and not absurdly expensive to add OEM or aftermarket sport exhaust...

Not so with full leather, Manual vs. pdk, Sport Chrono, SPASM, PDCC, poor color choices, etc.

What does PSE get you?
I assume better sound. But does it also add hp?

Both of my 991S's had/have PSE. When turned off, the car is fairly quiet in normal driving and very comfortable for cruising on long trips. When turned on, the sound is glorious. (I have plenty of HP already with my X51 Powerkit...)

I had less than ideal experience when test driving my first 911 in Carsbad last weekend. Went to look at a white 15 S they had advertised. They couldn't find it on the lot??

So I ended test driving a 15 GTS red w/pdk. Traffic was so bad never could get above 35mph. Car felt sluggish and PSE exhaust didn't sound good. Low optioned model for a GTS with 15K on the clock and two previous owners including a Porsche executive. Wanted 109K. I passed.

They called later and said the white 911 was in the body shop but they didn't know why. I passed on that as well.

So I really didn't get a chance to get a true test drive but my first impressions did not match what I expected. Probably need to get a real test drive before I make any further judgments. Maybe I had my sights set to high.
