Talking 2015 Carrera GTS - CPO - Updated! New Brake Pads!

What's up HFS Gents,

I had a buyer fall through on my beautiful 2015 Carrera GTS, so I'm re-listing the car here. Please take a look at my classified here. I've also included some common questions that people may have. Hope this can find a good home with one of the HFSers! The car has 7800 miles, and I'm asking for $102K. I'll transfer the CPO, which goes until April 2021, and I have the title in hand. Car is ready to find a new home!

- What was the original MSRP of the car and what else have you done to the car?

The original build for this car was $140,380 including the following options:
- 911 Carrera GTS - $114,200
- Carrera White Metallic - $710
- Leather Interior in Black - $3850
- PDK - $4840
- 20" Carrera S Wheels - $0
- Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes (PCCB) - $8520
- LED Headlights inc. PDLS - $1595
- Deletion of Alcantara - $0
- Power Sport Seats (14-way with memory package) - $1520
- Premium Package Plus i.c.w. Power Sport Seats (14-ways) - $2,030
- BOSE audio package - $2120
-----------------------------
$140,380

Added value:
- Full Xpel front wrap - $2700
- Llumar Ceramic 40% Tint - $320
- Sport Design Steering Wheel + Installation - $1900
- Brand new PCCB brake pads installed on 7/12/2018 - $1200
- Michelin 4S tires installed in October 2017 - $1900
- Clear Side Markers - $100
-----------------------------
Added total: $8120

- Has the car been well maintained?

Yes! The car was bought as a CPO from Porsche of Nashua. Since then, I had the 2-year service done to the car at about 5,000 miles. Oil and brake fluid have also been changed multiple times. All work has been performed by either Porsche of Nashua or at reputable shops, such as Auto Engineering.

- Do you have all receipts and service records to prove it?

Yes! I have all of the service records and can prove all of the car's service history since I have owned it.

- Can I schedule a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI)?

Most definitely, as long as you pay for it! There is absolutely nothing to hide about the car, so if it brings you peace of mind, go for it.

For more details and photos, please see my classified ad: https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...l#post15138196

Thank you!

the SBM manual Aerokit (sister car to the one just listed) that had 69k last month was $73,500 at auction. So about $6,000 per 10k miles? It was also a very clean car.

While I have not actually done business with CVLC, I have spoken with the owner several times (including just a few weeks ago) and would not hesitate. From what I have learned, he is very reputable, but of course do your own diligence, as YMMV.

Where do you guys see the value of base 991.1 PDK's being in 1-2 years when cars have 50-60k miles? Would it bottom out around $45k or below 997.2 prices?

$79.5K with 29K miles for those don't want to click the link, and yes, its PDK.
Sounds like it might have a carfax blem from the text of the ad? " One comp for road debris." Might be a bit fat on the price for an HFS deal considering the mile and the comprehensive claim. What exactly was the damage? paintwork? documentation? You really can't expect to throw the car up on HFS without more details about that.

The 991 is superior to the 997 in every way. It's more modern, more powerful, bigger brakes, wider track, and lighter weight. It's hard to imagine future 991 values less than today's 997 at comparable age and miles.
Having said that, used car prices are affected by how well the economy is doing. During a tough recession, car prices will be relatively low. The US is in the 2nd longest economic recover in history. So times are good right now. Personally, I chose not to wait for another tough recession to buy my 991.

The PDK is superior to a manual in every way. It's more modern, quicker, prevents inadvertent money shifts, and is durable. Yet many buyers still prefer a manual as it has a more mechanical, connected, "driver" experience. It is my guess that you will see 997 preference in some portion of buyers for very similar reasons... It's not about empirically better, it's about driving feel and the emotional response.

Overall, its very hard to predict specialty car values as they age. Trends drive prices, rising prices lead to more desire and even stronger prices, and so on, until perhaps a crash of that particular specialty car.

Does anyone know why this one has been sitting for a while at Long Beach Porsche? Blue not my first choice of color or the 42K miles on the car but I haven't been able to find a black 991 C2s 7mt for under $80K.

All true. But to most long-term Porsche aficionados, besides all those things I mentioned, the 991 is also better looking and more fun to drive than the 997. So when 991s are as old as today's 997s, it would be a huge stretch to imagine todays 991s would not be worth more than today's 997s. ...this, from a guy who has been a Porsche fanatic, PCA member and owned 10 Porsches since 1970.
