But that's just me and our car is a DD for me/us.
I opted for a lot of leather, even some as trim, but not the dashboard. What affect does the sun have on a leather dashboard over time?

None, if you use a sunscreen when parking in the sun. And it slows down the car heating up in the sun. I use mine even if only parking for a while shopping. Of course you can also protect with the newer heat and UV blocking films such as Prestige PhotoSync or LLumar that don't need to be dark to protect and improve comfort.

DD here too. Could not agree more. Full leather elevates the interior look and "feel".

IMO, a must on a $100K+ car.

I was going to post this as an ultimate 991 with its 4.0L 500Hp. They had just put it on the showroom floor. They had to buy a pkg of 10 cars from a distant dealer to get this GT3 RS allocation. The markup was $45k. While I was there they sold it!

Default Price Advice on 2 cars.

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking this thread for a while and want to thank everyone for your contribution, I definitely learned a lot in my search for a 997 not kinda turned into a 991. While I've learned a lot, I feel I've only learned enough to not ask stupid questions.

If you could kindly throw in your 2 cent to the two cars listed below, especially towards the price value as the price value for the option it would greatly help me to start getting better at understanding the fair price.

Car 1: 2012 Black C2S $70 20k miles
https://shift.com/car/c10710
VIN: WP0AB2A91CS122110

Car 2: 2013 Silver C2S $77k 10k miles
https://www.carmax.com/cars/porsche/911/2013/12617774
VIN: WP0AB2A9XDS120292

Thank!!

VIN: WP0AB2A9XDS120292

First car is expensive for a $109k build: https://admin.porschedealer.com/repo...AB2A91CS122110

Second car is also a $109k build: https://admin.porschedealer.com/repo...AB2A9XDS120292

They are both "meh" builds, and not great deals; neither has PSE (must-have option), so add $3k+, and I would look for leather interior.

Check the Porsche locator on a daily basis and look for cars with no photos; that usually means they just hit the system.

Good luck!

Edit to add: Neither car is a CPO, so first car should be ~$60k; second car maybe mid $60ks.

Thanks! Exactly the kind of guide I need. Now I know why they've been around for a while!

What is the price? It is a pretty basic build, but it has PSE, SC, and a manual if you want to row

After a little detective work I think realq is talking about this car:

https://www.beverlyhillsporsche.com/...3+Black+864963

Here is the porsche locator link (you have to use the "Copy Porsche Link" button to generate the link correctly): http://locator.porsche.com/ipl-custo...a0e41c&url=usa

This is the build sheet:

The carfax history shows 3 previous owners:

https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...AB2A96DS120192

Price seems a bit high for an average build. Also, the car is located at the notorious Porsche of Beverly Hills ... (see here for more https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...-poor-car.html)

Thanks r00t61! I believe that is the car!

@ The Fat Kid. I would only consider a manual!

This car is pretty close to what I'm looking for

https://capitalporsche.com/inventory...5+White+696341

I'm in Ca, and the car is in Fla. SA is Michael Ludes who's a member here, I think. I really don't have the time to fly out to check out the car. Anyone have any experience with this outfit? Any rec for PPI?

Thanks all

So... how much should an accident drop value if it is a CPO? Would it drop from the 65-70 something percent typically seen here to 60%? Lower? Higher? Saw one I like and not overly worried about resale as I keep cars (will likely keep the 964 and store for awhile...)... Really appreciate this thread and any thoughts.... Thx

Looks like a nice one.

But a dealer service fee of $747 is a bit much after pricing it to make a large profit. These things are turn offs to me.
