BTW, mine doesn't have PSP, and I do not miss it!
Another BTW. I also put on the aero foilers (look to the right of the door mirror in this picture) to prevent wind buffeting when only one window is rolled down. Took me another 15 -20 minutes. This is also a great product. Lives up to what is promised and is very inconspicuous. Great product. Easy install on later 991s. Not so sure about early 991s. They say u might have to take the doors apart to install for certain years, but my 2015 991 S did not reqire that.

But let's look at some options popular and unpopular with us here, and observe how the general public likes them, as expressed in prices for used cars:
  • $3000 PDK - value evaporates
  • $12000 for convertible - evaporates (Targa does better but has rarity)
  • $3800 full leather - so-so, seems to make the car sell fester, not higher
  • Aerokit Cup - great investment, very expensive used and they sell
  • PASM and SPASM - great investment
  • Sport design steering wheel - investment comes back manyfold
  • PTS and really cool colors - great investment

The way I read used car prices and what we observe how they sell I'd say we represent the general public a lot better than we normally get credit for.

Unless we cause > 50% of the used 991 market...
Weird: I have S-PASM, Sport Design, Aerokit Cup on my car and it hasn't sold. I did have a couple of offers that were below what the dealer offered to buy it outright for....

so you didn't have to take your car door apart? Then how did you install it? Mind detailing the steps?

Install is easy if you have the visible screw.

My records show that this one was offered on the Porsche website in May for $110,000, by Napleton Westmont Porsche.

I'm sure wholesaled because they couldn't sell it. That color combo is a tough sell.

That is one of the worst combos I have seen...

Buyer, "What do you call this color combination?"
Dealer, "Drab Watermelon."

Lime gold would be hard enough to sell....but with a red interior? Yikes!

Reminds me of the lime gold one at Carmax that sits and sits and sits...

So the difference between the earlier 991.1 and the later 991.1 is the "visible screw"? I was wondering what he meant when he said he doesn't have to take the door apart because that installation guide seems like it's taking the door apart.

I love that Porsche will let the buyer (I'm assuming this was an ordered car) order a car exactly the way they want it. I appreciate Lime Gold with Garnet full leather far more than any silver, grey, or black. It elicits an emotional response (good or bad) which is what these cars are meant to do. Somewhere out there is someone who will love and enjoy this car.

There are 2 installation guides that come after the initial interior part removal and checking for visible screew. One for visible scree and one for no visible screw. I had already made up my mind I would send mine back or sell em, if no visible screw. Y'all should do the screw check before ordering.

As far as the Lime/Red Targa, it has waaay too many leather options. Then they cheaped out on the Sport Exhaust and parking sensors/camera. Ridiculous! Not my favorite paint color, but it's better than black or dark blue. Not crazy about the Red MF steering wheel either. A Black Sport Ddesign steering wheel would look better.
