Save it on your phone's notepad, so always easy to copy/paste the VIN#

Forgot to mention it also has Burmeister.
I saw that car and test drove it. It's a good build spec but doesn't have a clear bra and had small rock chips (they may have fixed this by now). Also the burm adds a lot of expense and wasn't a must have on my list. I felt like the asking price was a tad high- the dealer was unwilling to negotiate on it so I passed.

Thanks for sharing! Any other issues you noticed during your test drive?
Yea, it looks like Burmeister's adding a lot to the price which I'll barely use, so I'm debating now...and the fact that dealer's not willing to negotiate anything off of 80K list price...

It's a clean car. They just changed out the fluids- brakes and oil if I recall. It probably wouldn't bother a lot of folks but it did have some small rock chips which are likely accentuated by the black paint. I think this is impossible to avoid for a black car but for me at 80k I would want them to touch it up which they may have already. Tires and brakes were in good condition.

I didn't smell any smoke and they should be able to print off all the records on the car since it was serviced there.

For me the burm probably adds 2k-3k or so which I didn't care for. I bet you can negotiate but I saw it the day after they got it in so there wasn't any room.

Fair enough, but i don't want the battery to die on me in the next few weeks (happened to me, so I might just replaced it if necessary)

BTW, gotten really confuse with Porsche CPO - so was chatting about a CPO and the dealer mention they can reduce the price and remove the CPO - is that true? Even if it's CPOed, they can remove it?

Yes, they can sell it without it after it's been advertised as such.

Don't think they pay Porsche for it until the car sells I believe. It's worth like $3K

Ah, so that is why then. So in the case where I see the car spec sheet that have 6 yrs warranty and they kept telling me it's not a CPO, which means they are not really 6yrs until it is sold. Quite confusing, so i will never know if the car is CPOed until it is sold to me.

If the car has an executed CPO on it already, it cannot be taken off unless it ends up at a non Porsche used dealer for sale.

A newly listed used car with no previous CPO, they have the option to CPO or not if it meets the criteria.

The one you're talking about looks like it has a CPO already. Like I mentioned, easy to confirm with any service dept.

I had a discussion around this CPO nuance previously (potentially removing it to lower the price). The dealer actually brought it up, not us. They were pretty adamant that it is not supposed to be used solely as a marketing tool and that if it's done, it is attached to that vehicle until it is sold. Basically, it sounds like the dealer is supposed to do the work (servicing etc.), certify the car, and then it's a sunk cost for them as opposed to a marketing or negotiating tool.

They do the service to bring it up to CPO standards. Yes, those are sunk costs. Many times, they don't spend much if brakes and tires aren't needed. Depends on the car.

They can decide on the final CPO call at any time after that though. Trust me, it's a pretty lenient process. Great warranty and great marketing tool for dealers.
