Having worked at one of the original carmax locations in Atlanta in the mids 90's; I can tell you 99% of the employees knew nothing about cars. It was like a Best Buy but for cars.

Remember some good deals but the buyers priced the cars at the very lowest end of the range. That and they would buy a ton at auction and weren't scared to buy the higher mileage sports cars.

Hey guys. One of those "just hitting the market" ones. You guys are one of the first to see.

$85,995 with CPO warranty. Just over 4K miles (not a typo!) From what I've been told, in pristine shape. Look at that interior with the leather/stitching! PDK, SC, PSE, etc ....

Call Nick Kopp. He has the inside scoop on this and a HFS friend. He took in this trade and knows the previous history. Barely driven and big savings $$$.

Dalema - where were those photos taken? The mountains are breathtaking. Are we looking at the alps?

Found one that may fit the criteria for inclusion here as it has a lot of options that seem popular ( I'm new to this so feel free to disagree) - on carmax , 2012 991s , platinum silver with red interior coupe, WP0AB2A95CS120943 is the vin, asking $67,998 with 29 k miles, on a $123 k build with sport chrono, sport exhaust, pdk, pasm etc.

Yes, in Grindelwald, Switzerland. Unbelievable view from the hotel.

The village is surrounded by the mountains of the Faulhorn, Schwarzhorn, Wellhorn, Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, Lauteraarhorn, Agassizhorn, Fiescherhorn, Mönch, Eiger, Lauberhorn and Männlichen. Thanks to Wiki as I couldn't remember them all

I think that I have seen that particular 991 come up a few times on Carmax. The last time was somewhere in TX, and now it's in MA. Somebody may have paid for the transfer and walked away. Nice options and still worth a look if you could live with the red interior.

I was digging it until I saw it doesn't have SC. Why anyone would spec a pdk without SC baffles me, but I see it all the time. Maybe I put too much value on SC? Thanks for posting though. Great price point otherwise.

Many dealer builds order without SC sometimes to keep MSRP down.

A "must have" in my book. Especially PDK. The dynamic engine mounts are a big plus for either transmission.

To each their own.

Jbt3, are you planning on tracking your car?

For me, SC is NOT needed although the engine mounts are nice. If the 911 is a DD, then SC is really not needed. If it is a track car more than a few weekends a year, then probably go SC. Definitely better to have it than not but if the deal is ridiculous and you are not going to track it I would not care. Best scenario, drive a 911 with it and then without it back to back with SPORT engaged.
