HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
So I currently have this car on hold:
https://www.carmax.com/car/20911470
Price is $94k. It actually made an appearance in this thread a couple years ago, but it's been bumping around on and off the CarMax site for a few months now. Any thoughts?

I think I've done some research on this car before - I think this was a car that they use at the Porsche Experience Center. I think this car had over-revs into Zone 5. It was downshifted hard. I may have it mixed up with another car but if the CARFAX shows the first owner starting at ~6000 miles, then I suspect its the same car. The spec on the car is amazing.

IMO, I would save the $ and wait for the market to normalize. $94k for a 2015 991.1 with 20k miles, no warranty and from CarMax, without a PPI?. That car once everything goes back to normal, it will cost mid to high 60s. However nobody knows when and if this will get back to normal ever. Just my 2 cents.

would love to know who it's going to. They're asking a decent amount for it but can't say I'm surprised... Let it be known it was fantastic to me, and I took exquisite care of it for the year I had it.
Also not in the listing, it has PPF on pretty much everything front-facing (bumper, hood, mirrors, a-pillars, rear quarters).
Favorable DME report as well, but of course, ask for it anyway. Happy to answer any questions about it.

Totally understand that logic and I've had the same thoughts as well. I think the last time this car was for sale (May of last year) it was listed at $78k. I would be purchasing the CarMax warranty with this (which is excellent, I have it on my current car and it's virtually no different from a factory warranty), so I don't know if that would change anything for you. Purchasing a car that was used at the test center for the first 10k miles of its life definitely leaves me with some concerns though.
Coming from a 991.2 manual, I can tell you that the addition of turbo, the upgraded PCM, suspension and manual transmission makes it way superior than the 991.1.
Sold my 991.2 CPO with 26k miles for $83500 back on May, I bought it CPO on Oct 2019 for $76k. Now waiting for the market to cool down to get another 911.
Patience is the key to the next pcar!

ask Carmax if they are willing to send you an over rev report. If you are unsure, just keep looking.

Just listed, but $65k for a really well optioned 991.1 4S. No pictures yet, but clean title. VIN: WP0AB2A91DS122190

Wow, that seems way too low given the current conditions, and I do not think they price their cars cheap.

I'm local and already sent an inquiry. It's damn similar to my 4S but with more options and way less than I paid in August.
EDIT: Got a call back. It was a lease buy-back. This happened a while back when I was looking hourly. I guess dealers have to put the car in the system as a sale in order to let the leasee buy it out.
That owner is going to flip that car for $20k if he's smart.

Went and looked at this car yesterday: https://www.ultimomotors.com/invento...b2a95hs124787/
Super clean car that seems to be priced pretty well. I really liked it but have my heart set on a .1 GTS or Targa otherwise probably would have pulled the trigger on it.
