I don't know this gen car well enough to give any kind of useful informed opinion just from a 15-minute drive, but cosmetically it's in decent shape (a few chin scrapes into both plastic and paint), and no weird smells or any of that.

I'm not looking to get flamed on this, but I have been causally searching for a GTS. I understand the market is a little nuts at this point, but is this considered a good deal. I have just come to the conclusion that I would rather wait than pay higher than the original MSRP for a 5 year old car. I would also think a GTS might not depreciate as much as others, but it will eventually return to a depreciating asset. If I am viewing this wrong, I will throw up the white flag. I feel this is going to end one day and anything that is not a true collectible is going to go down in value, maybe more than we expect.
No one knows what the market is or is going to be. I'm with you in thinking that pricing is a bit out of control. Eventually, things will get back to "normal", but I think that won't be for a while.
Wish I would have purchased a couple of CGT's a couple of years ago. I thought they were underpriced for a while. Now, they've overshot what I thought they should be and are a bit crazy. Everything is crazy during the pandemic too. My Rolex Daytona that I purchased new for MSRP three years ago is close to $45K now!

For an otherwise identical spec, same miles and condition, what's worth more?
2016 GTS, manual, N/A 3.8
2017 GTS, manual, turbo 3.0
Honest question, curious if there's consensus or if people are split.

You really should start an entirely new thread for this one. This will take the entire thread off subject.

of course the turbo GTS is worth more, there are a handful (ok may be a little more than a handful) of morons like myself who would be willing to pay top dollar for the last of the N/A GTSs... most buyers (and this board doesn't represent even a 1/4 of them) would just want to buy the newest GTS they can

To me also the 2016 would be worth more. the 2017 is probably faster and more comfortable (especially with a tune). I like a turbo as a daily driver but as a fun car prefer the drama of NA.

This car is not yet listed, but for anyone hunting:
Porsche Bend Oregon has a very nice CPO 991 C4s manual - I had right of first refusal but I grabbed a different car locally so I'm letting it go.
https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AB2A95ES122839/
DME report's all good.
I had it at $89,xxx.
Hope someone else can grab it...ask for Kathy!

In fact, I rely on Carfax solely for where the car resided and certainly not the service history as anything could have been entered (type of service).
