It seems this thread is only used for the early 991 Carrera models.
I'm now looking for a Hot For Sale 991.2 Turbo S.
Should the title of this thread be changed? or are there no other 991 Hot For Sale cars to be posted here?

Interesting thought. What i make up about this is that the majority of what is posted here is merely an indication of where the market is. I'm guessing more guys are looking for cars that have flattened out a bit on the depreciation curve. The 991.1 is the prime part of this. A 991.2 turbo is at a very different place on that curve. While there is a market for the 2017 + Turbos, it is much smaller than the non turbo flatter depreciated cars in the market.

There is a 991.2 HFS thread.

Edit: I can't find it (and haven't looked at it in a couple of years). Maybe it was merged with this one.

This is the 991 Forum. You want help from the 991 Turbo Forum. Completely different cars & markets. I don't think the Members and participants there have a HFS Sticky.

You could start a HFS thread in the "991 Turbo" section. It would more than likely elicit more responses and interest from that particular part of the forum since it is the 991 Turbo forum where those owners frequent more often.

"another C2 at a decent price. 2 owner 30k miles.

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used...ting=298453948"

There is an accident listed on this vehicle. Maybe the price reflects this? If not, then expect additional depreciation.

If you look at the first page of this thread, this was started by STG in 2015. I believe it is the only "car finder" thread in Reenlist that has a sticky. It was originally just for 991.1 potential owners who were looking a good deal for a three or four years old car. For awhile the thread was very strict about just 991.1 and had to be HFS (a great value). Of course that has evolved to cover 991.2 now and who knows what HFS is anymore in this market. I wonder if STG even reads this thread anymore

I'm actually very thankful for this thread. I bought my 991.1 from a post that someone posted here.

I also found my 991.2 c2 here, this is a great thread, though it does get derailed every now and again. I hope threads like this continue into 992 and beyond.

I hope to buy a 991.1 C2S that pops up here! I also try to post anything interesting I see (particularly coupes as I don't shop coupes). Spread the love.

Pass.
The only thing I would care about is #3. And even at that I don't think it's true. If a car comes in trade with one plate I don't think they're going to go to the DMV to make sure there are two. In the 997 forum there have been some gems bought through Carmax. Cars are cars. They don't choose where they get sold next. A guys says "Hey I'm not using this" and he goes to KBB.com and gets an instant buy quote, then selects the nearest KBB affiliated dealer to him that will take the car, and gets a check. That's where my MINT GTS came from.

He may get a second opinion from Carmax...or simply go there and nowhere else. It's a car. Crap can show up at branded Porsche dealers and diamonds can show up at Carmax.

Bought my wife's Tesla X P90 from Carmax. Best transaction ever. And they screwed up on the price because they priced it as a 90, not P90. I bought it $9-14K below market.

My impression of carmax was similar until I actually was serious about a car they had available. I think the inventory was fresh, people knew how to interact with customers and they had a good process. I checked feedback and was hard pressed to find many negative comments about buying at Carmax. Compared to the typical car dealer, they were much better to work with. Gassed up the car I was interested in and handed me the keys and said please be back in 20 minutes. Boom, it should be this easy to buy a car. Oh, and no pressure either.

Here’s the only 991 at Carmax now. Seems like a decent deal (original sticker was $145k).

I’ve had decent luck with Carmax, purchasing 2 vehicles, but these were beaters for me and the wife. But great experience both times. YMMV.

The 21 people that have it saved are probably feverishly calling or refreshing their browser to be the first to ****** it up.

I just got my iPhone screen report for last week - the first week in eight months that I haven't been searching for a car - and my screen time was down 18% last week!
