I don’t think so. Seems like the door is sagging slightly and is catching the seal. If it was wear and tear it would be on every car. This seems specific wear unless you have really heavy shoes.

can’t see the reserve number but just being able to see its a reserve auction I have to imagine the number is no lower than something in the 80s.

Joke aside, PCCB can be retrofitted so it will make your search way easier.
I have been waiting more than 4 years to find a 991.1 Targa 4 GTS with 7MT in Europe, I was even ready to buy a US spec car to convert to Europe spec for homologation.
I was only looking at black cars but I think I found about 5 to 7 cars publicly advertised over 4 years in the USA and in Canada (none of them had PCCB).

I think I'll try to answer this in reverse. In my opinion a non-story car would be a 1 to 2 owner car in which the Carfax is detailed with dealer maintenance at properly scheduled intervals with any recall/warranty performed, and thats it. Appropriate mileage or below for the age. Visual images are clear and well done if not professionally done.

When I see a 6 owner sale with 2 blurry images, 14,000 miles, 6 years old and not one single service on record with Carfax, I call that a story car.

I think I'm in the right thread to ask this question. Apologize if I'm not, please redirect me.

Looking at a 2017 C4S with 21K miles, PDK, coupe, sport package, premium package, lift, adapter cruise, etc. Retailed for ~$152K with these options. The ask is $100K flat. 2 of the wheels are scuffed a bit. Carfax is clear, but autocheck shows damage which I believe is the wheels. They sent a video where I couldn't see any issues, PPI is tomorrow.
