Hey gotta pay it forward now that I have my dream car.
Honestly I think all "hot deal" cars on this thread should have CPO ... such a great value in terms of piece of mind/warranty coverage.
From what I've posted ... Most have been CPO's and Porsche dealers because most nicer 911's end up at Porsche dealers on trade ins by loyal Porsche buyers and dealer buy outs on end of leases. You do have to push some dealers to CPO them though. The Porsche dealers do have the advantage of getting the nicer inventory.
Obviously there are some private sales and nice cars that end up elsewhere, but you have to dig deeper to find them.
My first Porsche - 2015, 911 GTS cab in Carmine - she arrived TODAY!
I am pleased to report my GTS arrived safely this morning - thanks again to Ken Gold from GT Motorsports for the transportation from a Porsche dealer in Chicago to NJ. Received a 24 hour advance warning that it would arrive between 8-9am. Received another update this morning, about 70 miles out. Then the final call at 8:15am. Because of truck size we met at a local business with more space.
Wow, the GTS looks amazing! Not a mark on her :-) Summer and winter mats in the trunk. The driver handed me the keys (nice feeling) and to my surprise both key fobs "Vehicle Key Painted" in Carmine Red - a very nice touch.
Drove the 3 miles home this morning - very slowly!! With the wife keeping a safe distance behind in the 435 Coupe.
Work today, so no time yet. Just played with the roof and took a few pics to share.
Now reading The Getting Started Quick Reference Guide and will read the other manuals tonight.
Thanks to STG and everyone here for the info. I started my lite-search around Aug 2015, but with the plan to buy something in early 2016. Initially I was focused on getting a 997 4S Cab. A dealer steered me towards a 991 and once I had the test drive, I was hooked!
Then the 991 4S Cab turned into a 991 TTS Cab, thought about a GT3 for a fleeting moment (haven't we all :-) Then saw the GTS and thought - that's the one! After chatting to a few people, I ditched the AWD and went for the rear-wheel (I have an SUV and might put winter tires on the GTS). The GTS still has that wide stance at the rear, so perfect
^^^^ Paul007 the day has finally come. Looks sweet! Gives hope to the other guys searching here. I predict you'll be spending quite some time in the garage this next week! Let's hope for spring to come around sooner than later.
Wow, Paul007 - a GTS cab is really lovely. I love the match between the black top and the wheels.
I've been told the truck managed to pick up mine yesterday so one more week to wait...
Seeing all the snow around your car, I assume driving top down is not for now though - maybe you & I should swap (when I get mine) haha
Congrats again!

Cheers STG - Yes I will. I just started her up in the dark for the first time - very classy interior lights. Bloody cold in the garage but who cares.

Thanks - yes all the black against the Carmine Red looks bloody awesome! Pleased your GTS is rolling now. Looking forward to seeing your pics.
Snow is melting FAST - in the 40's I did sit on my driveway with the hood down - it got a bit chilly.
great thread; thx for sharing. i've learned a ton but haven't nearly made it through >1.7k posts. need a quick gut check from the experienced guys here:
i'm about to pull the trigger on a 2014 c2s, white with 9k miles, cpo. original msrp was ~$128k and the current ask is $90k. how much negotiating room do you think i have on this deal?

thanks in advance!
Hey. Probably depends how long it's been for sale. I'd guess not a lot of room. It's $40K off MSRP with CPO and low miles. My gut would be $2-3K off, but I'd start at $7K off. Go too crazy like $10K off, many of these dealers won't even counter. Just be nice and polite. Goes a long way as far as having a nice back/forth negotiation.
