So I pulled the trigger on the C2 I mentioned yesterday. I used STG's advice and went in even lower and they definitely worked with me! 70K and it included shipping. They were great to deal with and would highly recommend them to anyone looking at a CPO 911.

Quick back story on me with this forum. I jumped in quick yesterday and didn't really get a chance to say much as I was trying to finalize the deal. I was originally about to buy a 2016 Corvette z51 new with museum delivery. I was pretty confident on that plan until I was able to get in one. I am 6'5 and while not a heavy person the vette was really tight. I had two trips last year where hertz had given me Porsche's, a Panamera S hybrid and a new Cayman. While I wasn't crazy about either of those cars for me personally, the build quality and overall aura sold me! I came home from one and drove a '13 911 base and loved the look as well as the space for my giantness! I came to this specific forum in the hopes of either finding the perfect 911 for me or at least learning the ins and out's of buying a pre-owned one. STG's insight and dedication, as well as the others on here, gave me the confidence to know what I wanted and how to find it! I would probably still be looking for one if it weren't for this thread. Again thank you to everyone for all your posts and thoughts. Now I am lurking on other threads to find the things I need to buy (i.e. car cover, phone mount, floor mats, radar detector and mounts). I should have my car in a week or so and am so excited for the winter to be over and really drive it! I will post pics once it is here. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Bob

That's a great deal on a very nice car!

May I ask from where to where was the car shipped, and what were your shipping cost estimates?

Hey Bingo. Shipping was included so I never saw it broken out. It is definitely a great time of year to buy a Porsche from a dealer in a cold climate.

Default 2013 S Cab

I found a CPO 2013 S Cab with 26k miles. They are asking 79k. One owner and clean CarFax and CPO report. Original MSRP was 129k. I am thinking 50k off from MSRP is a pretty good deal. Here is the build:

176 - Sport Exhaust System
250 - Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
427 - 20-inch Carrera Classic wheel
446 - Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
636 - ParkAssist (front and rear)
640 - Sport Chrono Package
658 - Power Steering Plus
672 - Navigation Module
748 - Electric folding exterior mirrors
911 - Model Designation "911"
AG - Black standard interior
N0 - Agate Grey Metallic
P06 - Power Sport Seats (14-way)
P37 - BOSE® Audio Package
P39 - Premium Package Plus

I'm not one to pay asking price, so my initial offer was 75k. I am waiting to hear back. Quote for covered shipping for about 1600 miles is $1100. I'm hoping this can get done. Here is a pic.

Must say.... A HOTT LAVA GTS. It's new and not cheap.

Manual in Lava Orange. Thought I'd post for guys looking for last of the NA GTS's. Call our friend John Wright. Porsche St. Louis is owned by Porsche North Houston. John can take care of you.

Hey Bobby, great news, you will be very happy. As you (or someone above) said, it's a great time of year to buy a Porsche. Actually I just got mine and it came from your neck of the woods!

I'm doing research here too on radar detectors. Found a thread (noticed STG was active there too - hey STG, you get around ;-)

Anyway, let me know what goodies you uncover.

I refer to time periods in my life now as BP (Before Porsche) and AP (After Porsche)

Enjoy

Some Saturday night fun :

What's the opposite of a hot pick? Would lime gold (which I love) over full red leather interior count ? Yuck.. this may be at the dealer a long time

I think the dealer even realizes it. None of the pics show the combo from exterior full on.
