And we talk about putting things like PSE on a car after purchase, if you really wanted to lower or stiffen the PASM system you could put on aftermarket electronic coilovers like the Bilstein damptronic or even more track-oriented Tractive DDA system...
All good points. However, the benefits of SPASM outweigh the negatives for me. I have test driven both briefly, although on different days. Better handling, looks and I thought slightly better steering feel too (I found steering feedback in car with PASM to be inferior to my 15 Cayman S but about same in car with SPASM for some reason). Its stiffer but still comfortable enough for me even though Houston does not have great roads in the city. Plus, I plan to track it 1-3 times a year and am opposed to any mechanical mods.

Hurricane, given that you have had both PASM and SPASM, do you think there is any difference in steering feel/feedback between the two?

I'm a SPASM guy. If not for the looks alone with the reduced wheel gap. Even though less than 1/2", easy to spot.

That being said, "significant" difference to PASM? Not really.

Have to agree with STG. My new to me SPASM/PDCC C2S with H&R springs is perfect so far on the roads I've driven. No potholes or severely broken pavement, but the ride on "soft" is fine. Firm, not jarring and I love the lowered look.

Not sure extent of accident and details there. Maybe not too bad. The hit has been taken. Assuming no major damage, a great price point. In another 5yrs, will the accident matter as much? No. How much downside depreciation is left on it? Just saying, you can drive this for 8K miles a year for like $400 a month TOPS deprecation if not less and dropping yearly. Talk about a cheap ride.

STG- good call on this one. I agree. Great price if you can dig up some info on the accident damage.

It sounds like SPASM is probably right for you... I just mentioned it because it is one of the few options that really has pluses and minuses and isn't right for everybody.

That offleaseonly site is interesting. I don't know anything about them other than that they seem to be big and that they have a lot of fairly priced cars.

The name is misleading, they are general purpose used cars.

Interestingly they only have 911 convertibles, no coupes. There are a ton of e89 Z4s they have. Some Boxsters, none of them particularly attractive. I speculate that their business model is based on huge inventory and buying slower moving cars at bargain prices.

911 inventory:

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is fatfingering?

I have consistently seen low priced 911's on off-lease, though this one is particularly inexpensive. Sometimes odd builds, sometimes nice cars.

They get lots of very sketchy reviews on yelp for issues like damage to the cars not documented online, overall poor condition of cars, and HARD sell on their overpriced, in-house financing.

That cab looks really tempting, but personally I wouldn't even think about picking up one of their cars without seeing it in person.

Duplicate post deleted. Is there another way to do this?

I'm not sure I see a difference in ride height compared to my bone stock C2S with PASM. Whattayall think?
